Volumes 1 - 5 are in it. That's episodes 1 - 20. I'm really, really tempted to buy this. But shipping to Canada is $7 so $42 US which translates to $52 US :( I spent too much this month. Do Amazon prices usually go up after the pre-order period is over?

You could always order it from DeepDiscount for $35.50 during their 25% off sale. I'm not sure about the shipping price to Canada with them. (current price there is $47.34)

I loved the first two live actions, but I have no idea if they did some butcher dub on the US releases. I'm holding out on a nice imported 3-pack of em. Haven't seen the third yet.

I've already seen the show. I'm just buying the DVDs because I loved it so much.

georox, I went with a couple of friends to see it in theatres. It wasn't that bad. Never seen the Japanese version of the movie though, just the anime.

the_punisher, it's a great series. It's 37 episodes long and this set covers 20 of them. Movies have been dubbed as well but are just a live action retelling of the main series with some plot points changed.

i have the live action movies with the subtitles and they were good...i tried downloading the dubbed one and it just isnt the same...save yourself the trouble and ebay the subbed ones

There are three movies, Part 1 and 2, with another just wasting time elaborating who the hell is L (still leaves with lots questions).

Never watched the anime, but read the manga. well, i know one thing is gutted from the movie


Naomi suppose to be killed three times by Deathnote, but she survived all and she no longer can be killed by it...

Did anybody get this? The description says 1.33:1 which would be 4:3. Is it 4:3 or 16:9? I remember the show being 16:9.
