Amazon must be matching someone's crazy offer, those prices were definitely changed within the last 12 hours or so. Excellent sale!

I think you've listed everything except Robot Chicken S1 & S2 = $12.99 each.

I would bite if Metalocalypse S2 & RC S3 were included in the sale.

between this week and next week i think all the seasons except those two are on sale for very similar prices at bb and cc

if anyone sees this and doesnt own one of these volumes and doesnt pick up everything but squidbillies and tom and aqua teen vol 5 (really drifted off after season 3 or 4), you are a damn fool. i picked up most of mine for ~15 and have love them all.

picked up these

"The Venture Bros. - Season One"
James Urbaniak; DVD; $12.99
"The Venture Bros. - Season Two"
James Urbaniak; DVD; $12.99

Just because they are bad ass, dripping with awesome sauce.

I truly haven't met a show like this since Sealab... Frisky Dingo is showing to be following the footsteps too, since they are the same peeps.

Also, I think the price on Robot Chicken is better. I would have never payed $30 for a bunch of ten minute episodes. Robot Chicken needs to be an hour, hell, I wouldn't mind if they just played that all night.

Nice -- the prices for Sealab are just about what they were at DD with the 25% off. I just ordered S3 and 4 over there, but since 4 is backordered, I'll cancel that and pick it up from Amazon. Throw in some Venture Bros S1 for the girlfriend's Christmas gift (and free shipping), and then I'll show some restraint on the rest.

Does she already have Season 2? If not, you might as well grab it, too. Both seasons are equally massively great. Not to mention S1 ends with a cliffhanger that gets resolved immediately into S2. VB is the only Adult Swim show that I consider a must-buy/keep.

Harvey Birdman is BY FAR the best show in the sale. It's the only one that I highly recommend. It has the best writing of of the AS shows and Colbert is brilliant in it.

Venture Bros., Space Ghost Coast to Coast, and ATHF 1-4 are good as well. Those are the only things I would recommend to someone who hasn't seen any AS shows.

Everything else is an acquired taste or extremely hit and miss. You should watch them on TV before doing a blind purchase.

It's been so long since I have seen any of these shows the only one I can really remember is Sealab 2021. However I haven't seen the episodes after the actor died, so are the episodes worth it?

And there is an episode where JKF is having sex with the Pope and then something about nuking Sealab and combustion of a phone. What season is that? :)

I suppose they're all subject to personal taste. I bought all 3 seasons on a blind-buy the last time DD had them for super-cheap. I watched about 4 episodes, and maybe slightly chuckled about twice.

I never even opened the other 2 seasons and sold them all on eBay for a bit more than I paid. It was hands down the worst blind-buy I've ever done.

But honestly, is it possible for anyone to not love The Venture Bros.?

Yeah, I don't ever really listen to anyone's opinion on Adult Swim shows - most of the humor just isn't my thing. That said, I did enjoy a little of what I saw of Harvey Birdman, so I ordered a couple seasons (less than $10 a pop is worth the risk of not liking it).

And yes - I have to say that I did not like Venture Bros at all - even after watching the entire first season.

Yeah, with most of the Adult Swim shows, you either get it or you don't
Fortunately for me, I "get" just about every show on the network :P

Exactly my thoughts when I made the purchase of all of these DVDs
I sold off my Home Movie DVDs from the Pepsi Stuff deal,
and Mission Hill was one of my favorite shows to watch on Adult Swim this past summer.

Searched for both series before I bought the DVDs, and unfortunately they weren't on sale :(

Will probably end up buying the big 10th Anniversary Edition of Home Movies (http://www.amazon.com/Home-Movies-Anniversary-Limited-Deluxe/dp/B001D2WUCK/ref=pd_bbs_sr_2?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1227252110&sr=8-2)on Amazon sometime in the future.

For New Yorkers, where Amazon now charges tax, DeepDiscount is the better option. 20 cents cheaper to start, but then add in the fact that they don't charge tax, plus no minimum for free shipping.

Too bad the upcoming releases of ATHF Volume 6, Metalocalypse Season 2 or Home Movies aren't included.

Kinda odd they have Futurama included on the AS page considering they moved to Comedy Central nearly a year ago.

I bought a crapload from this sale.

As a heads up, and I'm not sure anyone cares, apparently Metalocalypse is definitely headed for a Blu-ray release down the road. I read an interview with the makers of it and they said when the cartoon was being conceptualized they wanted to make something that would look good on Blu-ray.

That's cool, though one of the perks on buying AS shows on DVD is they always seem to be on sale every few months, so you can get em for like $10-$15 a season if you just wait. Blu-Ray would be nice, but I'm not sure I'd want to pay such a high price for HD quality cartoons. I've got a SD TV, so I don't know no any better, but when I did get the chance to view my PS3 on an HD set, the Metalocapyse shows I had on my hard drive looked pretty good just for being SD. I guess if it were like $30, I wouldn't mind buying it on Blu-Ray, but if I gotta pay Lost Blu-Ray prices, then I'll pass.

Is sealab 2021 a good show? Is it worth the $33 for all 4 seasons

Catch a rerun on Cartoon Network or find an episode on youtube.

it's comic-y gag humor running around mini stories.

If you seen Frisky Dingo, they are the same people... same kind of stuff... GOOD stuff .. but that's imo.

getting all 4 seasons is a STEAL though.

Once Captain Murphy's VO actor died, the show took a considerable dive in quality IMO.

Seasons 1&2 are great. Season 3 is where the loss of Murphy occured, so there's 2.5 good seasons.

I ordered the venture brothers season one and two I couldn't pass this one up wished I checked the dvd section before ordering my BF games to order this ah well I can't wait to get these sets it's one of my favorite adult swim shows also before ordering I decided to get Moral Orel I wished I got this day one lessons learned I guess I've seen most of the series missed a few here and there, but I just liked how it was going and I hear the last episode should be pretty good I'm glad they were allowed to end it with a few more shows instead of having to end the whole show with no closure or ending. =\

I wanted to get more dvds, but spent too much so only had the money for venture brothers and Moral Orel I hope they come out with another dvd of Moral orel atleast the second season and third season in one dvd set that'd be nice or my luck they'll just decide to do a dvd set with all the seasons in one dvd or not release any at all. R.I.P Orel..

Slighty off-topic but a bit confused. Space Ghost C2C lasted for many, many years and there's no way those 3 sets are containing all the years worth of episodes... right? Are they going to release later sets with other episodes or are they just not selling enough to justify putting the rest out? Kind of like what King of the Hill did.

Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Space_Ghost_Coast_to_Coast#DVD_boxsets) says there will be 6 volumes, the finale one coming out last year. I don't know where 4 and 5 are.

Their shipping takes forever. I bought a DVD on 12/2 and it arrived yesterday AND I live in Illinois where they are located!

They also do not honor their prices: "Due to a system error, some item prices were listed incorrectly on the website. Your order has been adjusted by having the incorrectly listed item(s) canceled from your order. All correctly listed items will remain on your order. We have since corrected the error and truly apologize for the inconvenience."

They have canceled 2 of my orders in the past saying they were pricing errors.

SGC2C has one major hurdle to overcome in their episodes: clauses in each guest's waivers when appearing on the show that dictate whether or not they give permission for their likenesses to be allowed onto DVD. Certain stars basically don't want any bit of footage of them airing on media that will profit without them getting a slice of the pie basically.
Thusly, many, many episodes won't ever see the light of day because of this. Even worse, when the average show has two guests, and one allows it but the other doesn't, guess who wins out.
Hint: not the fans.

I keep hoping that the Bjork/Tom Yorke "Knifin' Around" ep will make it in-- truly legendary television.
