thought id share a word of wisdom to my fellow financial challenged gamers, best buy is selling red dead revolover for 19.99, 14.99 with bbgc.
so if you get two of those and go over to gamecrazy they are still selling the game for 49.99 so theyll buy it for 22, 24.20 with their gamecrazy card. so that means ull can can get a cool rpg like phantom brave or shadow hearts2 and all you paid is 30 instead of 50 ;)

There is already a gamecrazy thread, this does not deserve its own.

guessed might have been a little harsh, but it's SOP around here to do a search before posting a new deal and cluttering the boards.

This is a good thread to check out before you earn more flames:

I don't know how one could take my comment as harsh. It wasn't even a flame, just making a point.

And, yes, I saw that you have made very few posts, but I have no way of knowing how much attention you have been paying to other posts in the month that you have been registered.

How do u figure your only paying 30

Your buying 2 red deads for 20 each = 40

to get 45 or so in game credit

then spending another 30 on the game

your blowing 70+ out of pocket

He wasn't being harsh, anyone with common sense should see the SEARCH at the top.

It's in a different color and everything.

red dead AFTER GGC = 14.99 x2= about 30 before tax

Gamecrazy is BUYING Red Dead Revolver for 24.20 with MVP card

24.20x2= about 48$ soooooo you are spending about 32-35 depending on tax$ for a 50$ game. Thats how the math breaks down.

Assuming that the OP's numbers are correct for trade in credit, one buys each Red Dead for $15 +tax, using the GGC. Then one trades both at GC for $44 to 48.40 in credit (depending on whether or not one is a member). Then one uses the credit towards a $50 game. The game does not have to be Phantom Brave or Shadow Hearts 2. Again, assuming the numbers are correct, it can be a decent deal, if the stores are in close proximity. Otherwise, it may be more trouble than it is worth.

Edit: Beaten by jimbo.

Well, I appreciate the post. However, you can get a good deal at BB using this week's CC ad where SO is $39.99. Price match that to bring the price down to $38.99 at BB, then apply the GGC to get the game for $33.99. I did it yesterday. It was a hassle like it always is at BB, but in the end I walked with the game cheap.

There is no way of knowing unless you try. Some store will not allow you to use coupon with PM, but other store will.

Demanding? That is a strong word. They give the amount of credit that they give, regardless of how much one paid for the game. Your argument is as ridiculous as people complaining that a store is ripping them off when it only offers $3 for a game they bought for $50. If you don't like what they offer, don't take it, if you do like what they offer, do take it.

BB pricematch is SHIT. Unless you don't have anything to do and you wanted to kill your time by waiting 20-45 mins in the line (even only 2-3 peoples ). Beside BB customer service is too slow!

BB policy will do an even PM at time of purchase, if you find it cheaper after the fact within 30 days, they'll do PM + 10% of the difference.

Though, you can just buy it, walk out of the store, walk back into the store and have them do the PM + 10%.

It's lame that they have to do it that way, but the BB closest to me has a huge sign on the wall that spells it all out.

CC normally does the PM + 10% at time of purchase, as well as after the fact within 30 days.

Arguing with a BB employee in an attempt to save 5 dollars is definately not worth the effort. I just went to CC and bought the game happily for 39.99, the time wasted in trying to save the 5 dollars is more expensive than actually paying it.

yea think of it like the pawn shops in shenmue 2, theres nothing wrong with buying cheap and selling for more , thats what business is. the rain checks sound dishonorable though
