The Resident Evil Deluxe Edition DVD is only $12.99 at Circuit city and comes with a ticket to the new movie. It says it has an alternate ending too.

No Deluxe Edition ever made a terrible movie even remotely plausible as a purchase. Just an opinion. As bad as Riddick.

I thorougly enjoyed Resident Evil. If people would stop expecting so much out of movies, they wouldn't be disappointed. I figured it'd be a mediocre action title at best, and it was, so I was satisfied.
If the deal dies, Outpost.com has it for 14.99.

I think it comes with a movie ticket to see apocalypse. I might as well but the dvd considering the $10 ticket prices here.

$13.91 shipped, for those who can't get to aCC, or something.
I liked RE, it wasn't the greatest movie ever, but it was a decent zombie flick. Considering the free movie ticket you can't go wrong.

Just an FYI, the ticket in it is only good for up to $7.50, it's not one of the ones for up to $12-13.

Just an FYI (a much, much shittier FYI), there was no ticket in my copy. That was the only reason I could justify the purchase, too.

If you don't already have the DVD and plan to see the 2nd, it's a good deal.

Most DVDs with a deal like this have a sticker on the front that tells you if the ticket is in there(assuming you buy form a store) if it dosent have the sticker I'd be cautious.

The ticket should have an expiration date on it. I believe my Resident Evil ticket expires on Oct. 1.

dude, if you enjoy low expectations, by all means. however resident evil was butchered. had nothing to do with the storyline of the games, the only reason it had the resident evil name was to get fans of the game to go see it.

so the ticket inside the retail box should be regardless of where you buy it, it has nothing to do with circuit city. yes?

Correct. I bought the DVD at Best Buy and it should have the "free ticket" sticker on the front.

Regardless it still had numerous series staples. It wasn't just a case of an generic movie being slapped with a RE title on it, it was a side story based off the RE games. I would prefer seeing an original adaptation to seeing it based directly off one of the games. My two main gripes with the film would be that too many people got killed off early in to the movie, and that they dropped the Zero Hour sub title. Supposivly it was to avoid confusion with RE0, however they justr confused even more people by simply naming it RE.
BTW I didn't have low expactations, I just knew RE wasn't going to be the ultimate movie. I wanted all out action, some zombies, tons of gore, and little-to-know actual story. Needless to say, RE delivered everything I was looking for.

Let me know if you find out anything. The Best Buy I work at is where I bought mine and it didn't come with a ticket. However, the sale bill for the week does indeed state that if comes with a movie ticket.
I emailed Sony and they gave me a number. Called it and they told me they have nothing to do with that aspect of it, so I emailed them again.
This is the email I sent my iquiry in to.

Yes, it did. They have about 30-40 theatres listed. I'm planning to use it at my local Century Theatres.

I took Circuit City's ad in to Fred Meyer and got it for $12.99. It also came with the free movie ticket. I think they all have the free ticket. If you didn't get one, I'd take my copy back to the store where you purchased it and ask to exchange it. You shouldn't have to wait for Sony, let the store handle that.
Anyway, can't wait to see RE2 tomorrow night!

WTF is it with you people? Is there no middle ground? Does ever fucking movie have to be the "GREATEST EVAR!!!" in order to have fun? Yes, Riddick wasn't the best fucking movie ever made, but it still was worth a watch, especially if you like action and/or science fiction type movies.

BTW saw RE:A, liked it, but kinda got the feeling the same people who bitched about part one, are going to bitch about part 2.

If you're in it for the free ticket, MAKE SURE the sticker on the outside says "INCLUDES FREE TICKET". I initially bought a copy from BB (w/o the sticker) and was able to return the opened copy b/c it didn't come w/a ticket as advertised in their weekly ad. I found another copy at another BB which DID have the sticker and I PM'ed it w/CC. So not only did I get the movie for $12.99 and a free ticket, I got reward zone points :)
Btw, the "alternate ending" is pure crap.
