All Quiet on the Western Front was a good book. You really need to read it. And how do you expect to make it into college if you cant even read 2 books over 3 months?

I would tell you to just read the cliff notes, but I doubt it would help much based on the specifics you're asking for.

Nobody has to be an ass about it. If you know about the books, tell him, and don't make him give you something in return. I would, but as I said before, I haven't read them.

Im sorry to waste a few precious moments of your time to read this topic, there is a reason I asked if you had any spare time.

I read both All Quiet and Night.. I thought Western was horrible, and Night was somewhat good.

Read both, back in the day, and think I can help. If it's "summer homework" then I guess you're still in H.S. and need that level of analysis. If you've only got 2 paragraphs to write (one for each book) this shouldn't take more than an hour (at most) to complete.
Google will be your friend. Google the titles and the word "review" or "criticisms." Bust out a paragraph:
Remarque's story illustrates the depraved nature of WWII from the non-traditional standpoint of German soldiers. Young, inexperiencied and naive, these young men sought glory and found the harsh brutality of war. "Insert summary sentence of literary critique here," mentioned "insert critique-er here." "Discuss whether or not you agree here and why." Remarque's experience(s) "insert biographic notes here" better shaped his narrative, fleshing out "insert some random characters here," presenting a more vivid, candid look at war from the battlefield.
Wiesel recounts the horrific atrocities committed to captured Jews by Nazi Germany. Tortured with the worst actions undone to man, Wiesel's testimony of the depths of human spirit and hope is remarkable. "Insert summary sentence of literary critique here," mentioned "insert critique-er here." "Discuss whether or not you agree here and why." Wiesel's personal experience "insert biographic notes here" has spurred his own, as well as the world's, awareness of these horrible events, and serve to ensure that similar events never again occur.
Attach bibliography. Name, date, class, teacher. Print, put in folder, put in backpack, return to thinking about girls and gaming and enjoy your last night of freedom.

Oh yeah, forgot that you have to have two literary critiques per book. Make sure you add the second one.
Don't put this off...this shouldn't take more than an hour.

All Quiet on th eWestern Front: War is bad. I mean, you may have thought that summer job at the KFC was bad but thats nothing compared to war.
Night: Oh yeah? Well, I'll see your World War, raise you a World War, and throw in some genocide for seasoning. Now unless you you've got a nuclear apocalypse up your sleeve, I call.
