From the cnet review it said it was outstanding. Boot time was pretty good but didn't stand up to the PS3 (bah). Apparently it needs a 1 gig sd card for bd live. SD cards are so cheap these days so that's not a problem. However should I just go a head and buy it for 249.99 (CC will have it for that price soon) or just wait for a new model with built in storage?
I like this model because of it's slim like design. I don't have a 5.1 set up so analog will do for now.

One of the best players period. We have 2 Plasmas and the earlier BD30K by Panasonic, couldn't be happier. Solid machines, excellent picture. I've had zero playability problems.
You can get 20% cash back via Live Cash back at Circuit City.
Go to live.com.
Search for Circuit City
A link will come up that says "Sponsored Link". It's some Live Cash back ad. Click on it. The window will take a while to come up, but for 20% it's worth it. SD and FW both reported it works.
If you're not familiar with MS Live cashback, you can get paid via Paypal. you just need to sign up for a free hotmail account, or use the existing one you have, or MSN account. PM me, if you have trouble.
Good luck and if you do get this player, enjoy!

wow. Im thinking about buying one, but $200 seems steep. I wonder how Planet Earth will look in 1080p.

Honestly I think 200 is good price for a blu ray player. A lot of stores (like bb) are having great deals on BR movies these days bringing most good titles down to under 20 bucks after a few months instead of that crazy 29.99-36.99 price tag.
I just don't know the rep of the store the guy mentioned.
Also Planet Earth looks amazing in both BR and HD formats.
If anyone can give input on that store, that would be great.
Thanks
Also that player is very slim, compared to other br players at the moment including the sony one.

Im looking up the rep of hhgregg right now.
This seems appealing as well.

ITD-forgot to mention this-Sears had this as their "deal of the day" for $149, a couple of days ago, and BB would price match it. Unfortunately my Sears was out of stock. So if you can get it at below $200, jump on it-solid, solid, solid player.

I can't vouch for their online store, but the B&M H.H. Gregg isn't too bad of a store and do occasionally offer some good deals. I bought my Samsung 42" Plasma HDTV from them last year, and was pretty pleased with their service.

Son of a bitch!!
I called today only to find out they have NO RECORD of my order. They think there was a glitch that caused it not to take my order. They will not honor the 200 dollar price and now claim they no longer carry that model :bomb:
Guess I have to wait a bit longer.
