I haven't been buying a lot off of Amazon since I'm a picky chooser, but they have really put up a wide variety of deals and I applaud them for that. I need to save money for gifts and ultimately a mixer for a christmas present to myself.

Hopefully I can resist this deal if it's a good one, or I might just cave in.

That's true. But I believe it does not cost you anything to send the item back to them as long as you affix the shipping label they have you print out. I'd just rather do it right away versus having to call UPS to come out the very next day to pick it up.

That is a great price, but I really feel that all these price cuts on World Tour are to get rid of a lot of the bad hardware that is coming out with this game. My friends experienced this with the guitar (strumming down does not work) and drums (cymbal partially works, had to buy a link cable to calibrate it) and now that I am reading the reviews on amazon I see that a lot of other people are having the same issues. I really like the game and the new features, but I think I am going to wait for second generation hardware. Buyers beware!

Is the wireless guitar worth $30? ie - Is it much better than the ones sold with GH3.

I read that they minimized/eliminated the strum bar clacking noise with this guitar, which I think I would like. The fret touch pad and star power button are less important to me. However, the number of reviews with complaints about the guitar quality scare me. I think I'll hold off, either for game-only (to use with my Les Paul/X-plorer) or a deal on a bundle at B&M, where it's easier to return/exchange if defective.

Too bad, because it's a decent deal on the surface (although more than I've ever paid for a GH game/guitar bundle).

Last night (approx. 9 p.m. MST) ordered PS3 GH WTour guitar bundle for $69.99 ...

a few hours later... $59.99

(most of my orders recently have shipped 2-3 days after order placed...)

So I try to cancel last night's order and am unable to "connect" with Amazon (called repeatedly and was disconnected)...

Bam! my first order has shipped! lol dammit...

and I finally get through to customer service...

Rep advises me to just reorder and refuse the first shipment...
I ask to speak to a supervisor as this advice/option is profit lost to Amazon... but no supervisor will take the call..."they have millions of customers, and if they adjust for me, they must adjust for everyone...but if the price difference was for at least $20... and I asked for an adjustment within 7 days....they could help me"

So for $10 and 3 hours Vs 7 days...millions of customers are advised to refuse shipment and reorder...

Amazon pays shipping both ways on the refused order...brilliant, just brilliant...

Damn, Amazon used to have excellent customer service...

For those that are refusing shipping beware Amazon may choose to blacklist you if make a lot of returns. Just google Amazon banned me or go over to slickdeals/fatwallet. to see some of threads. Just a thought for those that only had a small difference of like $10 (ie is it worth losing shopping at Amazon over $10)


And no I haven't been banned...just wary of Amazon customer dis-service lately.

Is it as simple as that though? I ask because it seems I'll be responsible for the cost of shipping the item back to Amazon even though I do not want it (at least for $69.99). I e-mailed Amazon asking if it was ok for me to refuse the item when UPS ships it, and have my order canceled that way.

If anyone has had a similar experience (since September 1st when their "Post-Order Price Guarantee" ended) and refused whatever item they ordered, were you able to get a full refund (without having the cost of shipping and handling deducted from your refund) from Amazon?

I'm thinking about just taking the $69.99 bundle to Wal-mart for store credit (currently $99.74) and keeping the $59.98 bundle.

Thanks for the information. I'm in the same boat as you are, and also placed a second order. I was awaiting a reply from Amazon via e-mail to find out if I would receive a full refund if I refused the shipment from UPS. Now I don't have to wait for the response.

It's crazy to me that a company wouldn't just credit the $10.01 difference and have us keep our current order. I could cancel order #2 and be content. Instead, Amazon is out $8.48 twice (the cost of my shipping and handling- of course it was free with Super Saving). To me that's not good business practice. Also (and I love Amazon as most CAGers do), it's fairly obvious to me that they shipped my order as soon as they did in order to milk the extra $10.01 from me. They didn't expect me to go through the trouble to save the extra $10.01, but they were mistaken! :lol:
