Getting them to take a coupon plus match the online price is luck of the draw at the register / customer service counter. The bigger the line, the more likely they'll just put it through.

You can't do both unless you get a clueless or careless CSR. You get PM *or* coupon, not both, and the $49.99 price is online only.

The fact they consider matching their own online price some super-special PM annoys me (I wish they'd implement CC's one-price policy, but why would they??) but that's another issue.

Make sure that you realize that Mercs 2 does not go ON SALE until SUNDAY DEC. 14th which is the very last day the coupon is valid. So no one will be able to get the potential deal of $19.99 until the 14th.

Yes, I am almost positive the coupon will just appear on it's own when they scan your card. That's how it was when we all got Haze for $10.

Last year BB had a similar coupon off any PS3 game? I remember getting Assassins Creed (2 weeks after release) and Stranglehold CE for $30/$20 respectively. Anyway no need to get all riled up for no reason, why beat the horse (coupon) before the sale begins.

For any NYC folks I can confirm that the Best Buy at 62nd and Broadway has a bunch of Guitar Hero Aerosmiths in stock (at least 10 more as of 9:15 tonight) and they honor the coupon. The game is marked as being $74.99 but at the register it rang up $49.99, so no worries if you see that.

FWIW, I bought FIVE bundles today and was surprised to see them so readily available. But then again I haven't been paying that much attention and apparenty these things are on sale everywhere (were cheap at Target too). Of course the $20 coupon makes it a great deal. I got 1 360 GH:A bundle for a friend who just got a 360 and was asking me about these games just the other day. I called her from the store and said I could get her one for $30. I think she was pretty shocked, and definitely wanted it. At the time I called her I didn't realize the GH III bundles would be just $40 as she'd probably want that too!

Then I got one for my son, though I may return it as I decided to get both PS3 bundles instead for our new PS3 I'll be setting up on Christmas. We already have 2 360 guitars so a third was useless except as a backup (probably not a bad thing to have though). But the PS3 will be on a different TV so he can play that while the other one is occupied - I dunno, seemed to make sense at the time ;).

And finally, we got my brother-in-law's present taken care of with a Wii GHIII bundle. So I spread the love around multi-platform style. It felt pretty silly carrying 5 boxes full of plastic guitars into my house though.

Looks like GH:Aerosmith traded for $11 at GS a few days ago - not sure which version though 360/PS3 should be similar if not exactly the same value. You can use the GS weekly coupon to boost that 25% and with Edge it becomes 35% or $14.85 - basically covering half the cost. Not bad if you just need an extra guitar I suppose.

Went in and bought both the GH3 and GHA. Little confusion at first with the clerk, but she called over a supervisor and the supervisor said the wording was odd so just to take it off both games. And yes, Both PS3 GH guitars work on GH and RB. But the Strats don't work on GHIII or Aerosmith.

I had RB SE, bought both GHIII and WT bundles a couple weeks ago and now have 3 guitars. I haven't touched the Les Paul yet though. I'm hoping news comes soon about a RB guitar patch. I was hoping to be able to sell the Les Paul off. But with all of these bundle deals for Christmas, I doubt I'll be able to get $20 for an untouched Les Paul by January. Either way, the patch is probably never coming...

As far as I recall, RZ certs should be considered same as cash in a transaction. That is why you can use multiples in the same purchase.

I have had issues in the past when I use RZ certs, they try to argue your out of pocket costs are $5/$10/etc less so they won't PM that portion... which is totally BS but I have seen others be shot down on that point as well.

I try not to use RZ certs on something I think has a high likelihood of a future PM (games, especially!).

Looks like GH:Aerosmith traded for $11 at GS a few days ago - not sure which version though 360/PS3 should be similar if not exactly the same value. You can use the GS weekly coupon to boost that 25% and with Edge it becomes 35% or $14.85 - basically covering half the cost. Not bad if you just need an extra guitar I suppose.

When BC3000AD first came out, my older brother bought it. The first versions did not even work at all. He was so pissed off about spending $50 on it. Years later, he's still bitter about buying that pile of shit.

That happened to me yesterday... The cashier entered the coupon as a reward certificate and not a coupon... That's probably what happened to you... I picked up 2 GH: Aero for :wii: and 2 GHIII one :wii: & one :360:... Going for Mercs today... Thanks OP! :D

For any of you who will be using one coupon tell the cashier to scan the coupon twice and that will take the extra $20 off the second guitar hero bundle or merc2 game. Didnt buy Merc2 as I was not interested, if that is not your game maybe try Frontlines: Fuel of War as it was on sale at 9.99, i remember playing the game and it was OK...

Thought I would be experiencing some trouble at my Best Buy not long ago. I picked up 2 copies of Mercs- 1 for myself and the other for my friend who just got a 360 for his birthday December 1st- and the cashier only applied the discount to 1 copy.

When I pointed out the wording on the coupon that said, "Limit 3 per title", she called over one of her superiors, or at least attempted to. I told her that I had a second coupon if she needed it to give me both at the $20 rate, but she instead just did a manual entry and I got my copy and the one for Jeremy for $43 after tax.

Community is probably small by now. The game is alright but not as good as the first. The demo gives you a good idea of what the game will feel like.

Sweet, I was able to get two 360 GH: Aerosmiths for myself and a friend. One of the boxes was a little bit damaged, so they ended up taking off 10% of both, instead of one. Guy had to manually override it, but he was dead set on getting that 10% off on top of the coupon itself. I tried to say several times that I was perfectly content with just getting the coupon. I think he was a manager, but I am going to call tomorrow and give good compliments for the store to the district office.

I was also able to score a copy of Mercenaries 2 for the PS3 for $19.99. I'm definitely glad I registered with this site. I have scored a lot of great deals this Xmas season. Passed on Mercs 2, but got GH Aerosmith for 360. Asked my brother if he needed a new Les Paul and he said yes, so we went and got a copy tonight. $49.99-$20 coupon-$15 Reward Zone certificates + triple points coupon = New Les Paul for $22 after tax. He could really care less about the game... probably get it's achievements and then trade it.

Copped the Aerosmith GH bundle cheaper than the $45 deal at TRU for T-giving weekend. So simple exchange there, I heard such mediocre things about Mercenaries that I passed although the fact that I forgot about the deal ending on Sunday leaves me with a little remorse. Well guess I have to wait for a universal drop.
