I don't own a 360 and I feel that this is the case. The new Banjo Kazooie for only $40? And I could've gotten the original as a download with it?

All the same, I understand Nintendo's philosophy on maintaining the price of their games. If we knew that within a year Zelda would drop to $20-30, fewer copies would be sold at full price. I know that this sort of knowledge affects my EA purchases. I was definitely interested in Boom Blox, but I knew it would drop within the year. I picked it up for $20 on BF. Similarly, I will wait for Mirror's Edge to drop. Witht he backlog I have, perceived value like this factors heavily.

However, the videogame companies might want to try being more competitive with their pricing strategy to combat the used market. As CAGs with coupons and EDGE we can routinely get brand new titles at close to $20 discounts.

There's a delicate balance that needs to be maintained so that I don't just say, "It'll hit $20 in a few months and I'll grab it" or "It'll never drop, I'll just pick it up like-new used for $30 now."

Edit to add: I'm hoping for some good deals on Bully and Opoona. I think that's setting my sights about right. I really doubt that they'll revisit any BF deals.

I thought the first Trauma Center on the Wii was fun even though it could be frustrating at times. I picked up TC2 for the Wii over the weekend when it $14.99 (along with TC2 for the DS) but have not had a chance to play it yet. I have heard the second one can be pretty difficult to play solo and that you almost have to play it in co-op mode to beat some of the operations.

I'm not sure how good you are at the trauma center series, but second opinion is an instant buy. Also of the missions are fun and the final boss is great. You also, get to meet some older people. For me, the only hard missions I can't beat are the "X-Stigma".

Trauma Center: NB is a great game to play co-op with someone. My wife and I played it a good amount, and are pretty close to beating. I'd definitely recommend it for $20, even.

I'm a big fan of the Trauma Center series (have beaten all 4 games, 2 on DS and 2 on Wii) and hope Atlus continues to give us a few more titles. I don't know how profitable they were, but they are definitely quality titles. New Blood blows Second Opinion out of the water.
