Do you still watch any shows intended for kids? Mainly cartoons (obviousy not Family guy etc.)

I watch
Invader Zim
and this one on Disney Channel with something about Weekend in the title, also the one where that kid is like the detective in his school.

All I watch is cartoon Network, and not only [adult swim].

I watch Ren & Stimpy (the old one, not the ridiculous Spike TV revival) and a few others whenever I get the chance. My Dad still watches Johhny Quest. He was dying laughing when I showed him the Harvey Birdman where Dr. Quest and Race Banyon are fighting for custody of the kids.

Nothing that is strictly geared towards kids nowadays interests me. For example, Nickelodeon has horrible programming. In the days of Hey Arnold!, it was still somewhat decent (and of course most of the shows before it). Hey Arnold was one of the last great shows on Nickelodeon, IMO. It's still on here and there and I watch it if I am in the mood.

But like I said, I just don't see anything worth watching anymore. Even a lot of CN's stuff is crappy. I usually just stick to anime and shows like Futurama, ATHF, etc. When I see "old-school" stuff on, basically pre-2000, I may sit down and reminisce.

I like Doug, dont really watch it though. South Park is always good and the cartoon movies like Lilo and Stitch, Ice Age, Monsters Inc are all good

hmm, intended for kids. I do enjoy my Spongebob Squarepants and on occasion Fairly Oddparents.
I've moved on from Powerpuff Girls. I don't know what I was thinking.

Teen Titans (right now this is even better than JLU IMO) and Totally Spies (for some reason I really like this, its like a toon verison of Charlie's Angels meets Saved by the Bell)....

I occasionally watch Dexter's Lab too. Basically if its on Cartoon Network I'll at least give it a try.

God this is horrible to say but, me and my gf watch:

Fairly Odd Parents
Spongebob (We both can sing the theme song)
Teen Titans

She is more entertained with the Fairly Odd Parents then any of them. She knew when we got together that I was still a big cartoon head so its never been a problem.

I sometimes get to see the Fox Kids Spider Man cartoon if I have to get up early on Saturday, but I really want to see it released on DVD, along with X-Men and The Real Ghostbusters.

Yo Joe!
He'll fight for freedom where ever there's trouble.
GI Joe is there.

It's GI Joe against Cobra the enemy
Fighting to save the day.
He never gives up.
He's always there,
Fighting for freedom over land and air

GI Joe- A real American hero
GI Joe is there

GI Joe is the codename for American's daring, highly trained
special mission force.
It's purpose, to defend human freedom against Cobra-
a ruthless, terrorist organization determined to rule the world.

He never gives up.
He'll stay til the fight's won.
GI Joe will dare.

GI Joe- A real American hero
GI Joe

... and now you know.
And knowing is half the battle!

Pork-Chop Sandwhiches!!!

Hey!!

I used to watch Nick and Cartoon Network alllll the time, but I have outgrown them. I haven't watched a cartoon in months, maybe even a year.

The best kid shows have alway been the ones which had the writers working to please themselves rather than be patronizing to children. When I was little and watching 'Rocky and Bullwinkle' a lot of the jokes were baffling but I knew it meant something to adults and the cooler adults seemed to get more of the jokes than the others. Those cartoons are still watchable today with my knowledge of that era's geopolitics.

I look for the same thing today. Shows that are engaging for kids but only fully understood by an older audience. The one saving grace of those horribly patronizing shows I hated as achild is to see them satirized on Adult Swim in Sealab, Harvey Birdman, and Venture Bros.

I love to watch Tom & Jerry, Popeye, and some of the Looney Toons stuff. I loved the old Doug stuff, Ahhh! Real Monsters, Pete and Pete, Ren and Stimpy, and some of the other shows like that.

I've moved on from Powerpuff Girls. I don't know what I was thinking.

There was a time when PP Girls was some of the best satire on TV. They did the best Beatles parody since The Rutles.

and one of the best shows ever, The Animaniacs...like, the first 3 seasons. Everything from the Countries Of the World to the "Dragons Toenail" Pinky and the brain episode were brilliant.

FROINLAVIN...

which reminds me...

FREAKAZOID!!!

Second best Superhero cartoon behind the Tick.

oh, and gargoyles!!!

my god...i have no life...SWEET!

I've always watched cartoons. I still watch them now, and I probably will for a while.

Yeah, Nickelodeon sucks nowadays. Eh, besides Invader Zim there's not anything to watch on that channel anymore. But I liked Inspector Gadget, that show was awesome. In fact if they had reruns on I'd probably still watch it, but alas they don't.

I just bought the second Invader Zim DVD, I love that show. I still watch Dexter's Lab sometimes and the PowerPuff girls. JLA is cool and Teen Titans I sometimes catch waiting for Adult Swim to come on. That's about it I suppose.
