Installed Firefox on my other comp but when it was done and it asked if i wanted to import my settings from IE, I hit yes and it started doing it and froze halfway. So I tried to uninstall Firefox and reinstall but now it won't ask me if i want to import my settings. Can anyone help me import saved settings /bookmarks from IE to Firefox?

Ok thanks. For some reason, i'm still getting errors when I try to import the files and it gives me an error and asks if i want to send it to microsoft. Plus some netscape crap pops up.....I thought netscape was dead or bought by AOL.

Try re-installing FireFox.

Btw, did you know that middle clicking a link opens it in a new tab? I did it on accident once and thought it was cool.

...Holy crap. All these years I've been right click->new tabbing! Only good thing about my way is that it actually takes you to the link when you do it. Thanks for that tidbit, though!

My advice is just switch to Avant browser.

That's great, I had no idea.

If you find a firefox tips and tricks site, you can find a bit of code to add to your userchrome file that will focus on tabs opened by middle clicking. Quite handy. There is also code available so that when you close a tab, it refocuses on the tab that you opened the link from (handy when you have 5 or so tabs going).

Ctrl + click on a link also opens it in a new window.
However, it doesn't seem to work on here. Whenever I Ctrl + click on a link in the forum list, it opens it in a new tab and in the current tab.

You can also download the tabbrowser preferences extentension, and when you left click on a link it will automatically open a new tab, plus it will automatically focus on the clicked link.
