As a Nintendo supporter, I'm glad the Wii is doing so well. That said, I've skipped Nintendo this generation because it's really no longer making games I want to play sans Mario Galaxy. I respect that the company has decided to move its R&D to a different group.

May be when it hits that $99-$149 price range, I'll bite. I suppose being a long-time gamer and knowing that the Wii is essentially moderately enhanced version of Gamecube technology doesn't make it appealing on the price front, especially when the 360 is now $199.

Thanks, I got one -- I don't need or want one, but I have around $250 in Amazon credit that I don't want, so I just bought it to sell on CL or online for retail just to cash my Amazon credit out.

Better get it while you can. Last year people thought they could get a Wii few days before Christmas because there were plenty of supply beforehand. Lode and behold, by Christmas even overwhelming supply of Nintendo DS were sold out everywhere.

yeah, you can get more if you bundle in all kinds of shit and trick buyers with "potential free wii fit."

And don't be fooled by high ending prices. $400 ending price for a Wii + Wii Play is not good. $300 plus tax for the system + game, ebay fees, paypal fees, then shipping and you're looking at like $30 profit, yay

Not in stock until December 12th. It's a good post for those that want to get a Wii. They aren't that easy to find yet.

Three Christmas seasons in a row for the Wii as a hot item?

It's all related to supply / demand and the way a "fad" works. Seriously, when you're finally able to walk into any B&M and there's Wii's on the shelves, people will just stop caring. Heck, even people who are casual gamers are starting to see past the gimmick. Ever hear of a "Furby"?

With the way Nintendo is handling the Wii, I wish they'd just abandon it and focus on the wonderful, unstoppable DS.

I wonder how many more years we will see Wii is in stock posts.

Sorry if I'm trolling here, but I continue to be amazed at how well this thing is selling considering it isn't really a gaming machine, or at least not a good one. I guess that's the power of a big name like Nintendo.

The Wii is a fantastic gaming machine. It's just that nobody's using it properly, including Nintendo, with the possible exception of CAPCOM.

I can't wait for the Wii to stop being a fad so they can get down to making games for it.

That'll happen in about 2015, long after Nintendo has moved on.

Don't forget about the extra nunchuk.

All those idiots selling wiis right now must be real dumb.

They are just handing a bunch of money to Fee Bay (and Pay Pal) for nothing!

No shipping and tax is good. But if you can't find a wii you aren't trying. I seem the regularly in stores.

I thought it was, i can never find the Wii.

Perhaps you haven't tried lately? I was with you, but beginning a month ago (when I saw the equivalent of a pallet-load in the middle of Best Buy - with very little interest from passing shoppers), I've seen them routinely.

Systems alone get $200 o $225. Some auctions, which include an extra remote and extra nunchuck go for $350 to $375 sure but after shipping, ebay, and paypal fees is it really worth it? To me, no...to some...I guess so
