Let's do a list of the worst cover songs that anyone has ever done next.

There are probably too many to mention, from 311 just simply adding nothing original/new to a classic Cure track to Jessica Simpson murdering Terri Nunn (Berlin). Cover songs rarely turn out very well, unless they are done by Cake, or possibly TMBG :D

What about the great cover of Van Morrison's "Jackie Wilson Said" done by Dexy's Midnight Runners? or many of the great Beatle's covers, including "Come Together" by Michael Jackson and the one by Craig David, "Rocky Raccoon" by Jack Johnson and Elton John's rendition of "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds" Covers are really hit or miss IMHO either the band does a great job, or just royally fucks up the song.

Dude, I'm normally a pretty shy guy. But if I hear Cake kickin' 'I Will Survive', then I don't care who is around me, I'm gonna sing that motherfucker. Their cover of 'Sad Songs and Waltzes' is awesome as well.

Cake is one of my favorite bands, and they are awesome live. In response to Zenithian Legend, ok, I over-generalized, there are some decent covers out there.

If I can change my username, I will strongly consider Devasting Dave, the Turntable Slave.

Either that or "Anti-DragonLordFrodo"

Hell....I should start a new thread about this.
