It's really awesome and a lot of fun. Sort of like Armored Core meets Gears of War (sans the cover system). Do not pass on Lost Planet for 13 bucks.

Oh how Amazon teases me. I could have had the colonies edition on 360 for $9.99 the other day, but NOOOOO, it had to be out of stock by the time I could order.

The PS3 version is crippled from what I've read in the reviews which keeps me from biting. Thanks for posting though.

If you've never played this game, it is well worth the play-through. It's one of the few games this generation that I've stuck with until the end.. even though the last level degenerates into a freakin Gundam battle..

I read IGN's review. Basically it's not really a shitty port. What it is: A 360 with problems that wern't really addressed. This is from what I read, not personal finds. I remember playing the demo yrs (2 maybe) and enjoying it. So I might bite, $13 for a half decent port, why not?!

Only played a few levels of the 360 version, but it is something I know I want to get around to playing eventually. For $13, I don't see how you could go wrong, unless you have a 360 and want to wait for Colonies Edition to drop to a similar price.

Well that's timing -- I bought this when circuit city clearanced it and just finally got around to trying it out last night. I would say it is worth $13.00 if you want something fun to play.

Just keep in mind that it is not the best in graphics and does have some control issues (apparently these control issues are found in both the PS3 and the 360 versions).

The biggest issue I've encountered so far is that it is hard to get your character to aim at things above him -- which is bad because one of his gimmicks is that he has a grappling hook which is fun to use to climb up buildings and such-- but can get irritating when you know you have to grapple up but you can't get the target to point up where it needs to go.

Despite its flaws, it was pretty fun so far.

IF you have a 360, wait for another sale on the Colonies version. Otherwise grab it immediately. Awesome game I think. Except I agree about the ending. One of the worst ever. And as for the graphics, I disagree. I still they are some of the best around this long afterwards. No one has does snot right til this game.

I'm tempted to buy this...even though I picked up the 360 version ages ago! The demo was really really fun I thought. Amazing looking and had an original, competent Capcom feel to it. (And no demons, thank God...ugh...I'm so sick of those Devil May Cry demon games.)

Well I ordered it, Ill just throw it in the pile and play it when Im bored of everything else. I played the demo and the controls weren't too bad, so the SP should be worth it.

Depends what you like, Im not the kind of person that can play fighting games for a long time, they are more pick up and play a couple of rounds then put down. If I was thinking about SC4, I would most likely get both myself, but money is tight and that's not always possible.

Yeah, it's going to be entirely personal preference. For me, there's no contest. Lost Planet's demo was fantastic. Looks amazing, and really fresh feeling gameplay, versus a fighting series I've never liked that much.

I played through the PS3 port a couple months ago and I did not notice any technical flaws. The boss fights were the only thing I enjoyed about the game though.

I loved Lost Planet. Don't expect to be blown away by it. It's pretty basic... shoot, throw grenade, dodge. It was surprisingly fun. Although, it can get insanely difficult at certain points in the game. At $13 you're stupid if you don't buy it.
