Thought this was an interesting read, mostly because it isn't from an American viewpoint. Basically says that the war in Afghanistan is pointless because of fundamental problems. Corrupt officials, a government that is practically powerless since it has ties to the very people we're fighting, uncooperative neighbors (Pakistan). Without some sort of drastic change, i don't see this war ever being won.

Don't worry. We have US soldiers stateside to help quell any corruption or rioting. Coming soon to a year 2009 near you.

Of course it was a bad idea from the start... bad idea + bad execution = tons of wasted money and lives...
