i still dont know why everyone bashed poor turok. to be honest, it was one of the most underrated games this year imo. sure it wasnt perfect, but god damn, it was fun. the environments were some of the better looking ones too. and the bow and knife were the most fun shooter weapons i used in a long time.

K&L was wonky on occasion (I describe it as throwing a ball with the arm you don't favor)-but I agree that the characters and overall 70's action paperback feel make it worthwhile. Ao2 was good fun, but single player leaves you with an AI that needs a lot of micromanaging and detracts from the game.

I enjoyed Turok, though some of the bosses are a pain.

For the short bucks, I'll try Turning Point.

Definitely picking up Kane & Lynch. Played through it on PC and would love to play through it again on console for the achievements. Same development team as the Hitman series to, so it's quality++

Turning Point was absolutely hilarious, and piss poor all around. It's another I played on PC. It's from those idiots at Spark Unlimited, who just created the horrendous Legendary, which is obviously doing just as terrible as Turning Point. I urge people not to even buy it at $9.99, you're better off seeing a movie.

Turok is one of my favorite FPS's. I absolutely hated the demo, but after playing the full game.. it became one of my favorite 360 games quickly. VERY, VERY underrated.

I went out and bought it at full-price after I tried it from Gamefly - well worth $9.99, well worth atleast $40 or more too.

I'd also highly recommend Kane & Lynch, also highly underrated. It's not the best game ever, but is really fun and got a bad rep. over something stupid. The game also has GREAT multiplayer, even though many people also bash that, despite it being one of the most unique online experiences in along time.

For those that asked, there are plenty of people still playing Frontlines on live. Its got a cult following. You won't have any trouble finding a game.

Only Kane & Lynch is worth the money. Bought it when it was $60 (Chinatown for $57) & I enjoyed it 100%. Definately deserved at least an 8 & while I can admit some of the problems it had, especially during the last part of game (that should have just been cut out) I feel most people just jumped on the bandwagon because of Jeff G getting fired from Nazispot over K & L.

Kane & Lynch for ten is definitely worth it. Frontlines has remote tanks and heli's which were awesome, also worht the tenner.
I didn't care for turok demo and friends online who have it didnt like it that much

I'm about half way through the single player. Its no COD4, but its entertaining. One memorable part has you in a tank battle with nukes going off! The game tries to pretends that its open and allows you to take multiple paths, but really each level gives you a set of objectives at different locations that you must complete before moving further into the level.

I enjoy the game and think it is worth $10 (got mine from FamilyVideo.com for $10 w/ FS).

As already stated, yes. This months OXM ranked some "older" games for online viability and they ranked this more viable online than GTA4. I got it on BF and it is fun, like SW: Battlefront. I haven't really played Battlefield, but I guess its closer to that and has some of the same developers.

And for those talking about BB next week, isn't it the PC version on sale? Which I may consider getting as well but probably not.

Anyway, as far as this sale goes I already have all of them either on 360 or GfW, and I got all of them cheap new.

EDIT: yeah, the earlier posts are not correct, the Frontlines sale next week at BB is ONLY the PC version. For those that care, it is GfW, but its not cross-platform, and isn't on Live, so no achievements either.

Frontlines multiplayer was a blast. I stopped playing when Battlefield: Bad Company came out. But if the online community is still live, I might check it out again.

Frontlines single player was fun too. It's definitely no COD, and a step below Battlefield: BC. But it's an above-average game and easily worth $10. I paid full price on release date, and was happy with my purchase.

Yeah, I just found the article in OXM (Jan 2009 - Page 54-55). Frontlines got the best review. Looks like there was 100-250 players every time they played online. Not bad.

Some of these games (K & L, Army of Two etc.) I would never buy at full price. In fact I may have mocked them when they first came out, vowing never to buy them.

Okay - I bought a copy of Turok. Unless some super-awesome deal comes up, this is my last game purchase of 2008. On the plus side, if the game sucks, Gamefly is trading the game back for $9.

Btw, I did get one of my two Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 games in the mail yesterday. The game I got was flawless - but oddly enough the game case was cracked. Oh well. Hope my other copy is equally nice-looking. Hopefully it's in the mail today.

Now I'm kind of pissed I bought it around BF new for $15 I think, although at least I've already played it. Its pretty unusual for decent games to get to that $10 level. That's lower than CC's standard bin pricing.

I just received my copy of Bully and the manual and case are perfect. It still even has the area that you slit the security tape to open it. The disc is a little worn/scratched around the edges of the label, but it runs fine.

the game was very underrated. definately one of my best under the rader/underrated games this year. dark sector was another, but that was last year.

Either way, i bought the game on release day for $60 bucks. i actually only got it b/c i was one of the few people that loved the demo, most people hated it it. anyways, come the full game, it was a frigging blast. i had a ton of fun playing it and it was worth my $60 bucks far and wide. the multiplayer was fun and awesome too.

i will admit honestly, the game has its problems, but it does a lot of stuff right. The environments are honestly some of the best looking environements in a shooter. it actually uses color in a good way unlike resistance 2's acid trip through candyland...(aka R2 is too damn colorful), the dinosaurs are a blast to kill. they are kinda stupid, but my god, killing them never gets old :P, and lastly, the bow and the knife are quite honestly the most fun FPS weapons i got my hands one in a long time.

so yea, if anyone hasnt picked up turok yet, DO IT, its a great game thats very underrated and has fell under the radar this year unforuntately

The demo disappointed me. Your character can just knife the hell out of the raptors like it's nothing as if they were weak as crap.
