I ask since i want to put away my sealed ps2 games but dont wanna use those rubbermaid containers since they have round edges which it will give the games a chance to move around and possibley get damaged. So any ideas?

Put them in shoebox-sized cardboard boxes and then put the boxes in the rubbermaid containers. Ikea sells a 2-pack for like $3.99. You might find the boxes cheaper elsewhere but that's what I do.

Giant wooden crates. When you want the games, smash the crates open.

Please, only put one game per crate, as tradition dictates.

I like the giant crate idea except each crate needs to be filled to the top with dense, high quality foam with a dvd case sized slot cut out in the top.

Each giant crate must also be lined with small explosives so you can optionally blow them up to retrieve said game.

Really? Can't you just put them on a shelf or something? What's going to happen to them?

they are on a shelf, but ill be in college next year and my parents are going to move while i am there so i want them packed and ready to go. Plus it will give me more shelf space.

come on guys, post only if you are going to provide a real suggestion.

As a current college student, I know personally that either a shoebox, or a small cardboard box works just fine. If you're really worried about damage to the case, then just add some kind of foam to the box and you're set.

I think they would be best stored at a pawn shop somewhere....in exchange for money

If you're going to be carrying them with you then I'd use those Rubbermaid containers and just fill in the empty spaces with bubblewrap or something.

Just use anything you can find in your house that stores stuff and make it work, if you worried about movement stuff up the edges with old socks or clothing articles

x 2 on what Vinny said. Those rubbermaid storage boxes seal up and are more sturdy than cardboard boxes.

Line the interior of the rubbermaid storage boxes with a layer of bubble wrap if you are concerned. If you are anal enough, bubblewrap each game individually before placing them in the boxes.

Depending on how many games we're talking about, a big Rubbermaid type container works great. That's what I'm doing with my entire game collection at this very point in time (organization purposes) and it holds them just fine. If you've got enough games for the size container you'll be using, then you can pack it tightly enough that even with the rounded corners, the games aren't going to go anywhere.

Ok, since you're giving up on us, I'll let you in on how I store my cases.

Go to your local video store on a Tuesday, and ask for the empty boxes that they got DVDs in. They'll store two rows of 30(ish) per box at a snug fit. If you're worried about the box being damaged, I don't know what to tell you.

The reason you are getting so many facetious remarks is because this is not exactly an NP-complete problem. You are asking a trivial question, and a few CAGs did post practical answers.

i know a few did and i thank them. Im talking about the ones that just posted for the sake of posting....again im getting ideas, since ive seen then stored in individual plastics case and put into a box, just box, bubble wrap inbox, and even bubble wrap in a metal box. Just seeing what method is the best. Is that such a problem? yesh, ill be sure to not ask a question here again.

thank you to all that gave a real answer.;)
