I had to go to Gamerankings to do a search and yeah...it got terrible scores. Passing on that one. When your highest score is a 65/100, it's not saying much. And I'm a pretty forgiving bargain bin gamer. The heavy grain filter is a turn-off as well.

But it's a definite contender for most forgettable cover art this year. I've seen the game before in stores, but my eyes just slid over the package like it wasn't there.

You'll probably be fine with both titles--Zoids was bashed so much in reviews that actual gamers never gave it a chance, and Disgaea is on a blu-ray, so it should be fine.

I might pick up Zoids Assault. I was checking out reviews, and the general consensus is that it isn't as bad as the scores make it out to be. It basically sounds like Front Mission 4: Zoids, and it lost points because pretty much every quirk in FM4 was retained in Zoids Assault, despite Zoids Assault being on a more powerful console, costing $10 more, and coming out four years later. I liked FM4, so at $13, I might give this a try.

I dunno. Operation Darkness scored lower than this on most magazines and websites (OXM gave Operation Darkness a 2 (What?!?! (yeah, that's parentheses within parentheses)) but Zoids like a 4-5 or something) and I had a pretty decent time playing Operation Darkness. Don't get me wrong I can see why some people would despise that game, I just found it appealing enough to keep playing.

I agree. Zoids Assault is definitely not the J-SRPG that you blind buy/rent, as other than having solid mechanics, there's not much else going for it. Going by the reviewers' take, it isn't horribly difficult, and the achievements should take two playthroughs and 30-40 hours, which isn't too bad for a JRPG, if achievements are what you want. Graphics are very PS2-esque, with a 360 coat of gloss over it.

I did a quick search on Youtube, and found this video review. You can tell he hates the game rather quickly, so I feel it's a good way to gauge your potential interest. His voice is a little grating, but it's still watchable.

Blu-Ray is highly durable if you're buying PS3. Also the case and manuals look brand new.

Why do these questions ALWAYS come up?...

I myself have never had a problem with the games I receive from them, however there are obviously others who would say differently. I think it's great that Gamefly gives you all of the original packaging with the game, so the only thing you have to worry about is the condition of the disk you're getting. If you have a disk repair kit at home, I'd say you have even less to worry about, as you could also repair the disk if you get one that's not working. Even if that doesn't work, Gamefly is very good about exchanges or returns for games that don't work, as long as it's within 30 days of purchase. For these sales you'd unfortunately only get a refund on your game if it doesn't work since the sales are so short and they sell out fast. But it's worth taking a chance if there's a game that you like.

I got Rainbow Six Vegas: 2 from them and it is Like New with manual and case.

When I received it I indeed thought it was new because it came with that seal that all games come with.. but it was already ripped. Regardless..

I've ordered quite a few games through Gamefly, and the worst condition of any game I've received was Condemned 2, which had some mild surface scuffing on it (what you'd see from normal use, nothing that impacted gameplay). Most of the time the discs don't even look like they've been used at all.

Okay, I'll admit I was greatly relieved when it was over. He does do a pretty good job of anti-selling the game, as all he can talk about is how awful it is, and his gameplay screens are about as boring as you can get. Of course, his voice works against him, but the presentation wasn't bad. He just needs to tone down his voice pitch a bit.

If you can sit through it, it should give you a better idea if you actually want the game, or if it's just an impulse buy.

I highly recommend Bully, a lotta game for a little dough, it's pretty long too if you dig that, I do. I bought it when it was $40 from Frys and the wife really like it. I really hope they do a next gen sequel.

The graphics are rough but the gameplay really shines and I personally only had it crash a few times, just save a lot!

For the price, I'd go for it. Added classes and a couple extra missions. Plus it looks nicer. If you are in acheivements, they aren't hard to get so a little effort and you can add 1000 to your gamerscore. In case you are wondering, I had Bully for the PS2 and bought Bully for the 360 also. Did the same with Guitar Hero 2.

shipping has been really slow lately... when i first ordered from them a year ago, i got my stuff in about 3 buisness days.

i ordered now 5 games this december, and only recieved 2, which both took 5 buisness days to recieve. the 3rd game is at 6 buisness days tommorrow, and the 4th and 5th, i just places recently.

Is bourne really that good? I was on the fence about picking it up. Fight sequences seem cool but I really like FPS and I understand the targeting with guns is really poor. I don't want to get frustrated and through a controller out the window. :)

I would just like to point out that we can thank our interstate system and the vastness of our highways to Republican Dwight Eisenhower, who when getting prepared for war had to trek from coast to coast for some reason and it was a disaster because we didn't have good roads bridging east and west. Then when he became president he did something about it and we have the interstate system thanks to him.

Ye of little faith people - I mean they could have oversold - I won't deny that - but I found their customer service to be pretty good - they sent me a disc that while cosmetically fine, made my x-box vibrate in ways it shouldn't - I emailed them about it and they refunded my money right away before I returned the game. I've been a member for three months (sep. 11 til now) and I have not yet gotten a $5 bonus or the 5% discount. I signed up with a 30-day trial and got my second and third months via a gift certificate so I was wondering if that made any difference.

I called Gamefly to see if talking to a live person would make difference. Regretably it didn't. It was made very clear to me that under no certain terms would the company be willing to work with me in any way. They will refund me my money and wash their hands of the entire issue. They would not reissue the game, nor would they be willing to resell the game to me at the same price when it comes back into stock. Even though I was not at fault any point, giving me my money back was the only solution. Thing is, I didn't want my money back. I tried to talk them into keeping my money and they refused. Must be nice to be part of business, that in this economy, is doing so well they can blow off people trying to give them money.

What is disappointing is that a company that has such a stellar reputation for customer service treats a customer like this. I've bought from them in the past and I bought more after I purchased RS:V2. I'm going to be hesatant to buy from them in the future though. I'll wait and see if I actually get the other two games.

It would be nice if I had access to some higher-ups email addresses. Would mind letting them in on what has happened. Maybe something could be done for everyone effected.

They do refund that easily. I emailed them about a tracking number when a game seemed to be taking too long to get to me. They sent back a reply about sometimes games getting lost in the mail and issued a refund. Next day, game arrived in the mail.
