TRU Rockband 2 SE $109 and $25GC in Ad for 12/14

My first guess is that this is a price mistake or they had a boatload of RB SE's sitting around and meant for it to be that, as they list the PS3 and 360 versions of RB2 SE for that price with a $25 GC. Says it starts 12/14 and ends 12/20.

I'll see if I can get my scanner hooked up...

Please bare with me folks, this is my first post so I'm sure you guys probably don't think I'm much of a credible source, but I seen the Toys'R'Us ad for 12/14 - 12/20 and about the 7th page in on the bottom right hand corner, it has the complete Rock Band 2 bundle for Xbox 360 or PS3 for $109.99. And next to it it says you get a free $25 gift card with the purchase of the bundle. I would assume this deal is for the US only. Hope this helps!! :)

Drum pads are quieter, slightly larger, with more bounce, steel-plate reinforced kick pedal, and wireless. So yes.

If you live in a big city or your town receives a big city newspaper, some big newspapers release the Sunday paper earlier in the week with general non-time specific news. Not sure why they do, but I'm guessing there are enough people who want the Sunday ads early.

Just a word of caution some stores computers seem to update at 7am while other's update at 1am. Sunnyvale says the computers wont update with sunday ad prices till 7am.

#1 If the deal is valid you can purchase it in advance and PM during the sale and get the price difference and the gift card.

#2 No you can't use the gift card on the same transaction. It has to be for your next purchase in my experience.

I called my store and they are saying that they CLOSE at midnight every night now. Someone said they opened at midnight so I was thinking some crazy ass toy was having a midnight sale or something and trying to get the deal then. I just realized you could use the $25 Gift Card and buy a point card for either system to buy more songs. for example get a 4000 point card for $25 or a $50 Playstation Network for $25.

If you know someone that works there they have a 10% employee discount which would make this 11 bucks off before taxes. So you can get for $100.

Well if you REALLY wanted it for $109 + tax you always have your friendly 24 hour Walmarts. Just grab a early sunday morning paper with the sale ad and go to walmart before TRU opens at 7am and pricematch it. Once TRU are open WM or BB could always call to confirm stock and then the gig might be up... Leave WM and try TRU and if it's a mistake you got a cheap version already minus the gift card. If it's legit take Walmart bundle back and get your refund because you just remember that your nephew hates music games and you are gonna get him a different gift.

It's worth a shot. When the PSP-2000 first came out I was able to get $30 off by PMing a Target.com printout at Best Buy.

The best place to PM this deal (if they carry it) is Sears. I think they PM +10% of the difference.

Keep in mind IF you call (Which is a bad idea) you probably know more than the random CSR who answers the phone. I'm sure if there is a memo, it will be seen by the manager, who will print it and be sure everyone knows about it-- TOMORROW. Just because you call and they see the price on the ad doesn't guarantee it's not going to go down as a price mistake.

Just go in and try to get it but don't raise holy hell if you don't -- I always feel bad for the abuse the CSRs will receive tomorrow if this ends up being a misprint. (especially the CSRs at other stores who are asked to PM)

That said, we might get our first indication of what's going on when the TRU website updates in the next couple of hours... (although it may have updated already, is this marked as an in-store only price? I see Soul Bubbles is down to $9.99 online)

Yeah that's completely true. There is no reason to get mad at some CSR because of a mistake made by their ad/marketing department. That's just ridiculous.

I blame it on the general sense of entitlement that most Americans have. If the mistake is in our favor well then its just illegal for them to not sell it to us, yet if it wasn't in our favor there is just an evil company. People need to get over it. If you get in on the deal, cool, you don't you don't.
