I need to upgrade, probably to a 250 or 320gb one. Any good deals on these? Newegg.ca seems to have good prices but charge quite a bit for shipping.

BestDirect have a 320Gb Western Digital Scorpio for $81.28. But I don't know about their shipping rates...

Last I checked, Tigerdirect had 1TB SATA drives for $109 + $2sh. I don't know what drives the PS3 takes, though.

Anyway, anyone familiar with changing the PS3 hard drive?

Just wondering if I buy the drive and want to backup the contents of my current drive to a ext. HD , will all my games that I got via gameshare be gone?

I obviously can't re-download them.

If you do a complete backup on a FAT32 external drive via the PS3, you will get everything back.
