The last Need for Speed game that was any decent was the initial one. Loved it back on my Pentium 100mhz with sweet ass 2X CD-ROM

Carbon is good, for its time it had/has some beautiful cutscenes. Good game altogether, but Prostreet isn't good at all IMO. However $10 then again is a great deal.

I played through Prostreet on 360 and I'd say it is worth $10 - however be aware that this one is much more sim like than most Need for Speeds. It is NOT an arcade racer.

This is arguably the worst Need for Speed. It's not truly a bad game by any means, but it's really not what you'd expect from a NFS game and anybody looking for a sim racer would be far better off with Gran Turismo or Forza Motorsport.

Rumor has it that they're shelving NFS games for the time being... so who knows?

They need to come back with the old school need for speed.
Porsche, Lamborghini, Ferrari, BMW, all exotic cars available right outta the box, racing against each other on open roads with traffic and cops.

All this modding and parts stuff is crap, that's not need for speed.
Might as well put out a Halo game that's not a FPS... umm.. ok bad analogy.

There hasn't really been a good NFS since Hot Pursuit or Porsche Unleashed. Most Wanted wasn't bad, Carbon was worse, Prostreet is horrid (yes I own it), and I'm worried to get Undercover.

GRID works awesome with the wheel. The game lets you adjust the force feedback right in the pause menu too. Even if you didn't use the wheel on this game, I consider it to be the best racing game on the 360. Look up some reviews on it.

I have played all the NFS titles, Prostreet was not fun to play at all, The cars felt like bricks and wouldn't turn even with upgrades. It went from one extreme as the arcade model to now trying to be a simulation and just doesn't work. It does not even simulate real driving, unless you drive with a single cylinder motor without power steering and have hard plastic or stainless steel tires on your ride. I just got the new Undercover, and have to say it is now my favorite. It is similar to Most Wanted, but with updated graphics, a decent storyline, new types of races, and a better upgrade system. It is a little slow at first like most games when you first start out, but as you play it does get addicting and is hard for me to put the controller down to go to bed. The open world is much larger now, and its been awhile since I played burnout-paradise city, but I think Undercover is larger. Both are fun games.
