Also since this deal sucks and some of you would otherwise miss this, the Complete Series of Arrested Development (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B000JJ3Y78) is just $29 today.

LOL, wait. Today's DoTD is for a game that still has the same regular price its had BEFORE today? WTF. Going straight to the DOTD page, I saw it at $30 then once I'm there it was $20.

Pretty much.
I think it went back up for a bit, but now it's back down to $20 for the DoTD. That's just awful.

I have tasted the sauce, and it is weak.
it was that price before they raised it back to $30. Lame

The camera system in the demo turned me off of this game. Does controlling the camera get easier with more practice?

Got a 2.5 on IGN and a 6.0 on Gamespot. Probably worth a shot for the price if you're a fan of these games.

Ugh, I could not care less what Gamespot said. I remember back in the old days when THEY were the respected ones. Total joke now, obviously. Thank goodness IGN's been willing to do negative reviews again.

The camera isn't too bad once you get the hang of it. The problem is the enemy reinforcements. At certain points new waves of enemies appear and if they happen to surround and immendiately kill half of your characters before you even get a turn, tough luck. You either have to know where new enemies appear ahead of time or just get lucky and hope that they don't spawn two tanks next to your only real healer character.
Take it from an SRPG nut, proceed with caution on this one.

I really liked Operation Darkness. I haven't finished it yet, but the premise alone makes the game fun. It is no different than any other turn based "board" oriented RPG in gameplay. It is not for everyone, but I definitely don't understand the hate --- especially from people who might like that style of game.
Wasted - So wait, your upset since it is harder?

I want to pick this game up but only at a lower price. I can afford to wait while I work on my backlog. $12.99 ala Zoids Assault from GameFly would be nice.

Hard =/= Game being cheap by spawning new units near you suddenly & moving in the same turn :-|
