I am a HUGE Nintendo fan, but I must say this list is underwhelming. Hopefully they add more later (e.g., I don't see Wii Sports Resort and I was hoping to see Punch Out). I included the DS list as well, but other than Pokemon and Fire Emblem I don't see much (although I know many people are waiting for GTA). Thankfully, I have a Q4 backlog. Hmmm.
Here's the "I has interest" in list..Interest does not warrant a purchase, BTW.

House of the Dead <3, Little King's Story, Rune Factory... um.. possibly Trivial Pursuit...maybe Pikmin if it's priced correctly...

As for DS...
Henry Hatsworth in the Puzzling Adventure, MAAAAAAAYBE Pokemon Platinum..

I think that's it. :(

The list of Wii games coming out has about 5 titles I'm interested in, which is about 2 more than I've bought last year. Not bad I'd say.

Everyone worried about the future of the RPG-less Wii should go out and buy Little King's Story.

It looks like WiiWare is in there too.

And thanks for making the list more readable.. I def missed out on Puzzle Quest and Fire Emblem..

That was lame, nothing in there for me. Oh well there is always the 2Q!

Wow the only thing I want for both systems combined is Madworld. That's horrible, because I sure would of loved some new Wii games or even DS ones to play.

Wonder how the fanboys will try to spin this one.

I might pick up MadWorld on the cheap, otherwise I'm not interested in anything.

Fixed.

I'm curious as to what the price points on the Pikmin/Mario Tennis games will be. If $30 or less, I will happily purchase them. Other than that, I'm only interested in Little King's Story for the Wii.

DS is looking pretty juicy though. Y's I & II, Suikoden, Fire Emblem...

Hey, man. I love my Wii. It takes up the most prominent spot in closet, I'll have you know.

Besides the "no, YOUR mom" response, can you honestly say that you're super-pleased with the offerings for the Wii? Unless you're keen on shovelware, I can't find too many gems in that rough.

Now you're going to see how a fanboy spins it.

For the Wii: Madworld, Rune Factory Frontier, House of the Dead Overkill, Sonic and the Black Knight, Pikmin/Mario Power Tennis.

That's what I'm in interested in anyway. In reality, I'll be buying Madworld and Mario Power Tennis for sure. Potentially SntBK but only if it is good so that's a long shot.

For the DS: Fire Emblem, Ys Book 1 + 2, Suikoden, Retro Game Challenge

I WILL buy all those DS games, no doubt. I love my RPGs.

The only I'm out on is FFCC, I thought a Wii edition is coming out too on the same day. If it is, I'll get it. If not, it can wait.

As for the "hate", seriously? It's not a bad lineup, besides, most people are not playing games during the spring anyway. My ass in March will be enjoying Panama Beach, beer, and ladies. Not some damn video games.

Yeah I thought the Wii = DS version...so.. I'd imagine they would be out at the same time.

But I'm sure the Wii version will be $50 and DS will be $40.. :-k
...but they will be the SAME game and look exactly a like.

I'm okay with that, a small price to pay to play it on TV. I'm getting it so I can play my little brother online. I'm thousands of miles away from him so I'll play the Wii one on my TV and he can play the DS one back at home and we'll both be online. Besides, if I can afford to, I prefer TV anyday of the week. :P

I'm hoping it's a partial list also...

I missed mentioning Sonic also. Interested in this after a price drop... maybe.

And will definitely get Pikmin also if there are some worthy additions (beyond controls).

I thought the "NEW CONTROL!!!!!! Donkey Kong Jungle Beat" would have been out first.

12-17-2008, 02:18 PM
nice. thanks op. there are a few decent games like mad world.
what's up with the "new control" catchphrase?

lilboo
12-17-2008, 02:29 PM
Because it's an OLD GAME but with a NEW style of game play! So fresh! So innovative! So New!

CAN'T WAIT!! :bouncy:

Instead of hitting BONGOS, you SHAKE THE Wii Remote and Nunchuk UP AND DOWN!!!!! :whee:
Instead of walking Captain Olimar, you SHAKE THE Wii Remote and Nunchuk UP AND DOWN!!!!! :whee:
Instead of hitting "A" to swing a tennis racket in Mario Tennis, you SHAKE THE Wii Remote and Nunchuk UP AND DOWN!!!!! :whee:

 But seriously, that's pretty much why they call it "New Game play!!"

New Play Control! Pikmin - March
Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon - Feb. 16

Sega
The House of The Dead: Overkill - February
SONIC and the Black Knight - March

Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc.
Elebits: The Adventures of Kai and Zero - Q1
Suikoden Tierkreis - Q1

That would be a great one of it would actually come out on time, which is probably why it wasnt technically in the "list".
