Nintendo Club game code trading (and selling)

Got the idea for this from the Club Nintendo thread. I think this will be especially useful for DS games when people buy multiple copies. If you have a code you can't use, post and see if someone has a unique code you can use so that you both get maximum coin credit.

Right now, I don't have any, but may have some after Christmas.

Anyone else still having trouble with the site? It is still as glitchy as day one for me. I tried to enter two codes today (one via Fire Fox and one via Internet Explorer). Both took the codes and then gave me the quiz. As soon as I completed the quiz and hit "finish" the browser sits for minutes at a time and eventually times out. Then when I try to do the quiz again it says I have already done it, but it didn't give me the points! What a bunch of bull this whole club Nintendo is!

It will not register it if you have teh game registered already and it will still keep teh code registerable if never registered.

Teh registration code will not be invalidated/used, but if it was used and you do not have teh game registered it will come up as registered/used if someone registered it.

NO, it is still fresh and can be used if never reg'd beforez.

only coins are of concern?...if you were able to register the code but obtained no coins, wise to contact nintendo for the error. I feel bad if you register a game and got no coin out of it because later on you won't be able to register the same game.

Are you sure you did not register it? does it show up on your registered game list?
maybe you already had the game reg'd or the code was used/invalid.


Does the game show up in your library?

One way to find out is to login and click on the "My Coins" tab in between "Get Rewards" and "My Account Settings" tabs.

It shows a debit and credit history and the days you added teh codez and the associated points with them.

Does the PokemanZ pearl code show up there??? :-?

If you already registered that game (and the code is valid) it will say you already registered this game title.

If the code has already been used it will say a different message that the code has been used before.

Keep in mind that you have to do the survey to get the points.

Otherwise it will not allow you to reg. the same codes after the account becomes 1 account. Make sure you register all your doubles before you combine them. Because I think you may not be able to register 2 of the same game after it becomes 1 account.

I filled out the intend-to-buy survey for Rhythm Heaven a short while back when that was available, but now it is not showing up as filled out and I can't do it now. :( In fact I filled it out three times, because I was having problems with it and the one for Pokemon Platinum. I'd fill them out and submit them and it would say I'd done it, but then when I went to the to-do list it would show up as if I hadn't filled it out. Repeat. I tried again the next morning and it seemed to work for both games - they were showing up as filled out - so all seemed well, but now when I look Pokemon Platinum shows as filled out, but Rhythm Heaven is showing as if I didn't do it. :( Both games are definite purchases for me - my son will want Pokemon Platinum and I want Rhythm Heaven.

Under my main account, I went to create a family account. From there, I added a name for my wife and created a new account on he spot. She was then directly added as a family member before any code were applied to her profile. From there, I logged out of my account and was able to register a second copy of the game. I'm not saying that this should be used for any fraud purposes, but if you have multiple people in your house who play this stuff, you might as well make a family account for it all. It works and, assuming you really have a family, it's legit.

Alright let's clarify!

As you know all know Wii and DS games comes with a code and when you register that code you should get

Wii - 50 coins
DS - 30 coins
DSi console - 160 coins

You will get these coins after registration survey and in addition to this
You should get

10 coins for registering within 4 weeks of its launch (no survey)
10 coins after registering it with Intent to buy (by completing a intent to buy survey beforehand)
10 coins for post-play survey that comes 4-6 weeks after you register the game

Please note: DSiware and Wiiware will only qualify for post-play surveys
THERE IS NO PENALTY FOR DOING INTENT-TO-BUY FOR GAMES SO JUST DO THEM AND LET THEM EXPIRE, you might get a code from someone else who has the game and there you go 10 extra coins, no harm in doing intent people JUST DO IT!

So if you did intent to buy, register the game within 4 weeks of it's launch and you should expect a post-play survey within 4-6 weeks of registering

MAXIMUM per ds game should be = 30+10+10+10 = 60
MAXIMUM per wii game should be = 50+10+10+10 = 80
MAXIMUM dsiware/wiiware = 10 coins

wii fit is 80 coins.

Just a tip for registering multiple codes of the same game:
You can create "child" accounts in Club Nintendo. Each child account lets you register a title that you've already registered on your main account, but it "pools" all the points so you can use them together.


To create a child account, log in to your account, then click the My Account Settings
It's been a while, but I think there's an option to make your account a Family Account
Once you've done that, you can add another person to the family. Click Add, then click Create New Account.
Now, when you get to the birthday option, simply set the birthday to ensure the child is less than 13 years old. You won't be required to input any other information - you simply only need to select a username and password.
Once the child account is created, you can log in to the child account and register more games, including ones you've registered on your own account.
You can create multiple child accounts, so you could potentially register 2,3,4 or more of the same title.
You can also do the post play surveys and intend to buy for each child account, too.

E-mail them if you think your suppose to get coins from them, Nintendo has excellent customer service, if you don't get a E-mail back for a long time, E-mail them again, they'll get back to you and sort things out.
