Here's the video game software listings from the DFW, LA, SJ, and WA Fry's Ad(s). These prices are valid only for the dates listed in the subject line.

The items listed below are as they appear in the Fry's Ads. If an item is listed as "SJ only", for example, it could still be on sale at other locations (i.e. - San Diego, Sacremento, Austin, Houston, NV, AZ, OR, IL, GA), but it only appeared in the SJ ad. We have noticed that the Dallas Morning News and SJ Mercury News often run very similar ads. Also, the Chicago ads are often similar to the LA Times ads. However, since these ads are not available online, I cannot confirm them.

If anyone knows of a website to view any further ads, please let me know.

Unless otherwise indicated, items below are listed in all four (DFW, LA, SJ, and WA) ads.

OC Register ad listed it. The OC Register gets a better Friday ad than the LA Times does.

Does the AD mention when Kingdom under Fire will be avaiable?

No, which would imply that it already is. However, it is known that KuF is still in the approval process by Microsoft, so will not likely be available until 9/21. I think Fry's simply created their ad in advance of this development. KuF was supposed to be released on 9/7 originally.

Yeah, same here, just picked it up today. Although in the ad it just says "low price guarantee" (thus preventing a price match) they do have it at $34.99 like the other Fry's. So go pick it up, Peanut, far and away the cheapest you'll get it for awhile :)

Guys, if your Fry's runs out, just go to circuit city and they'll beat the difference by 110 percent, which means you get 1.50 off.

Or do that Bestbuy GGC thing. But don't fret if you can't find burnout 3...there are other ways to take advantage of that price.

PMing at Circuit City is slightly YMMV. They can deny you if they know if Fry's is Out of Stock. (Same applies to PMing anywhere.) Though in this case, the YMMV is in your favor unless several people have done it before you.

And the BB GGC, forget it. The price is $49.99 at BB. With the GGC, you've only brought it down to $44.99. That isn't even close.

Yup, I just got the PM to work at BB (Westminster, CA; though I think I may have grabbed the last copy from there). They forgot the 110% difference though, so it was matched straight up to 34.99. Shrug, I lose out on a buck fifty. Otherwise there was no hassle at the register concerning the ambiguity of the "Low Price Guarantee" arrow in the Fry's ad.

Many newspapers have their ads online. To get to the LA Times Fry's ad go to http://latimes.p2ionline.com/shoppingchannel/rop/ then click on the advertisers button (the left bar this is in loads slowly for me). then the DEF link, then Fry's and it'll show the ad.

The Orange County Register has their ads at http://ads.myoc.com/onlineads/ocr/index.jsp?catId=1 - scroll down and click Fry's to see theirs.

In looking at the Fry's ad for WA, it doesn't really say that Sims 2 will be $36.99. It just says "low price guarantee". Can anyone confirm this is the price because I'm pretty sure if I take that ad into Circuit City or Best Buy they will argue with me.

Look closer at the ad. Typically whenever you see "Low Price Guarantee," you'll find that it's inside of an arrow. Where that arrow points is the price.

They do it to stop you from Pricematching and most likely, because the manufacturer has some sort of deal in place which prevents them from advertising too low of a price.. Though you can get away with PMing these ads sometimes, it's YMMV. Give it a shot, and if the clerk gives you a hard time, tell them to call the Fry's to confirm the price.

Darkshadow, you shouldn't have posted about your Burnout 3 deal here. 1) It has nothing to do with Fry's or PMing a Fry's ad and 2) If your deal is not reproducable by anyone else, then it's not really a deal at all...it's just bragging.

Murcielago77, you need to learn to let these things go. ;)

Either way, let's leave it at that and stick to the topic at hand.

Got ads for the OR location on Friday and Monday. I really want to have an ad with Fable in it so I can try and get TRU to PM my pre-order. I know it's an EXTREME long-shot, but I'm going to try! Anyone who doesn't pick up the Fallout/Fallout 2 pack for $5 doesn't deserve to call themselves gamers. Ok, maybe that was too harsh...but what I'm trying to say is that they're great games that should definatly be picked up for that price. There, that sound a little better?

And I wonder if Fry's is giving rainchecks for Kingdom Under Fire, I know some people had problems getting rainchecks from Target for it (I got one, though). BTW, is it official now that it's coming out on the 21st? Supposedly testing was supposed to conclude yesterday...if it didn't pass then wouldn't sites have pushed back the release date for it?

Hey hiccupleftovers, since you're in Vegas which BB lets you do the PM + GGC? Haven't tried it here yet since I just moved.

You should try it around at some BBs. It just depends on who's working there or what type of a mood the person working their customer (can't think of the name) is in. When you do come there to have them PM it, be sure though to have the GGC already charged and have the coupon out of the case. But beware of the Stepanie one, sometimes the people there aren't very willing to cooperate with you. The maryland one is alright as well.

P.S. Sorry to be bumping up an old thread.
