Edit: since it is taking so long for me to get it up, maybe you can tell whta's on it....is it like a SNK compilation like the recent Street Fighter: AC?

Tung Fu Ru's super towards the end really doesn't do anything to ease that worry.

It would have been more informative if they actually had both players fighting instead of only one pulling off specials

It's more along the lines of Capcom Fighting Jam. A bunch of different sprites from their various fighting games duking it out. There's characters from Metal Slug, Last Blade, SamSho, KoF/Fatal Fury, World Heroes (which was a Sunsoft game, wasn't it?)

Didn't SNK once pride itself on having fighting games completely unlike MvC?

Yuh-huh. Then they went bankrupt, like, 10 times.

King of Fighters: Maximum Impact
The first original KOF title for the PlayStation 2, King of Fighters: Maximum Impact features more than 20 of the most popular SNK hand-to-hand combatants around. Terry Bogard, Kyo Kusanagi, Iori Yagami, and countless others battle it out all over the world in full 3D for the first time. Designed specifically for the home market, Maximum Impact will also boast customizable profiles, multiple costumes, and 3-on-3 tag team battles just like its older arcade counterparts.
Available at many retailers in Japan and the US as part of a limited edition that also includes a King of Fighters: MI book and special DVD, as well as a Terry Bogard hat.

Yep, and they're still more fun than most unbalanced 3D fighters.

SNK Playmore planning online play for all future fighting titles
Online gameplay to be added to every NeoGeo title after KOF '94 remake.
According to a recent interview conducted by Nikkei BP, SNK Playmore is planning to add online play to all of its future fighting games.
"We believe that the real fun in fighting games is in playing against other people. But people that are most enthusiastic about fighting games are starting to enter the work force, so they're probably getting less chances to play them [at the arcades]," commented Ryoko Suzuki of SNK Playmore.
"So we're planning on adding online playability to all our titles after King of Fighters 94' Re-Bout," the upcoming remake of the 10-year-old seminal entry in the fighting game series, Suzuki said. "We want to provide an environment where the users can experience the thrill of playing against various other people at the arcades, but in their own homes.”
Suzuki also mentioned that the upcoming new version of Metal Slug for the PlayStation 2 will be one of the main features of SNK Playmore's Tokyo Game Show exhibition, as the series will appear for the first time as a 3D game.

Go buy Guilty Gear. 2D is far from dead for fighting games.

Thanks...I had forgotten about this thread...Doesn't sound to bad to me..I'm just happy that they still make 2d games and 2d fighters in particular.

Ive had the import for about a month now. Coupla things i can say about it. Graphics are pretty good, the characters are well recreated and animated..and the backgrounds are ok.
The fighting in the game is WAAAAAY faster than most SNK games..And it sort of reminded me of Dead or Alive a bit, with an SNK touch.
Each character has alternate outfits...(some of them are plain out dumb looking), and you can unlock props to stick on the characters.. (iori with a guitar, anyone?).
The single player mode is story driven now..But the guy who talks to you from level to level is grade-A ridiculous looking. Straight out of some old 70's anime with a wierd ass cut, long nose, and lime green suit.
A nice addition to the combat system is that command lists now also carry all the Combo moves alongside the normal moves. Also, all characters have extended move lists...REALLY extended move lists.
The game has one of the cheapest, most ridiculously annoying bosses that ive seen in a long time. Duke. First time i played against him..I found myself screaming in pain at how cheap his moves were. I flung the controller a couple of times too.
The 2 new characters are alright. Nothing special.
This game is no Soul Calibur..But its definitely worth getting if youre an SNK fan. =) ...like me.
Hope that helps.

Is Nakoruru or Rimururu in it? I'm pissed that Nakoruru isn't in SVC Chaos.
EDIT: Just saw her in the video, great...

Im not sure if those were developed by SNk, though. MI was an inhouse product.

My money is that NGBC will play better than Capcom Fighting Evolution, but it wont matter to those who are uptight and think SNK games suck aka Capcom fanboys.
And please don't mention Sam Sho 64 again, I've had the unfortunate experience of playing it, and it ain't pretty.

Shiki and Asura were good character designs, though.
edit: hence their revival in SvC and Coliseum.

I will give you that, they do look pretty cool, and their background story is interesting as well. Shiki is like a combination of Psylocke and Vega to me, but it works. Another design I did like was Old Haohmaru.
When I said it wasn't pretty, I actually meant overall gameplay, but the graphics do basically suck ass.
