a while ago I read somewhere that plugging your 360 into a surge protector will damage it. is that true?

I highly doubt that is true. I've never heard of that before. I think people with PC's usually use a surge protector, and then people with 360's will most likely use the surge protector to power their system, as they love to use the 360 on their monitor.

I don't believe that the 360 will be damage due to using a surge protector.

I think it's rubbish. If Microsoft was so certain about this, wouldn't they not only have already released an official notice but stopped repairing consoles that were plugged into one, claiming the user was responsible?
