I love Hastings, but there are no stores within 4 hours of me. My in-laws got me a $50 gift card. Their web site completely sucks. Most stuff is near full retail, and a ton of stuff is out of stock.
I was wondering if anyone knows if the web site is always low on stock?
Any ideas for anything that is a "deal" I could get from there? I don't trust used stuff sight unseen. I'd go for BluRay, Games, Books, or CDs.
Kind of a weird request, I know. Maybe I should just Ebay the thing, even if I got $40 for it I'd be ahead on what I could buy from Amazon with it.
I know I'll be at a Hastings eventually but it could be a year from now.

Well here's an open invitation to get a $50 gift card for $42 if I can just give the Hasting-frequenting-CAGs the codes, or $45 if I need to ship. I'll double check verify the amount on the card before I sell. PM me. I don't have an active TL at the moment, in fact I'd have to dig up the post.

For a store that limited in locations, you should offer it for $40 shipped max.

Ok, thanks for the advice, but I'm not that desperate to unload it to take a $15 loss. Its probably going to get used online in the next few days so if anybody wants it speak up.
EDIT: I found something less than MSRP so I went ahead and used it. No Sales tax in IL and ground shipping was "only" $5.98.
So I got LOTR: Conquest (360) for $64.02 shipped. Not horrible for a brand new release. It almost looks like they charged my cards already, so I wouldn't pre-order from them for anything too many weeks out.
Doesn't compare well to the Battlefront II (also from Pandemic) I got for $14.98 soon after launch on a KMart/Wal-Mart price match, but the funny thing is my out of pocket is about the same ;)
EDIT: now the actual e-mail receipt says they will charge my cards when the order is complete. Why would a ecommerce site make it sound like they charge the card at order time when they don't? Just another reason Hastings web site sucks.
