Hi, was at HMV today and noticed the following new games for Xbox 360 for $10:

Sega Rally Revo
Dark Sector
Culdcept Saga
Fatal Inertia
Space Chimps

There was probably others, I couldn't remember them all...

They also had Viva Pinata: Trouble in Paradise for $19.99

They had Splinter Cell for PS3 for $12.99

I went to the HMV near me and Culdcept had a 2/60 sticker on it. I got the guy to ring it up and it came up as $35. Unless he was fucking with me, ymmv.

Do you know if he scanned the pink sticker on the front, or the barcode on the back? They are both different codes, so if he scans the sticker on the front there's no way you'll get it for $9.99. Problem is that HMV employees are always to scan those stickers if the product has it, as it's to activate the promo. If you were able to find a copy with a yellow sticker (say it was $34.99 still), if the back of the case was scanned it would come up as $9.99. You might be able to talk an employee into scanning the back of the game, but it's hard to say. (I have not picked this up for $9.99 so it may be YMMV, but I'm just explaining how they do things).

a lot of these say different prices online, but i just PM'ed hellboy at best buy and it came to $9.03 after tax. i have heard it's not a great game, but i like the character and you can't really go wrong for that price.

Nice list there. I didn't even notice VP for that price when I originally looked... but there are lots in stock at my usual store, but I may just try to PM it at FS. If I PM do I take the print out to customer service, or do I just take it to the cashier?

Cashier. Customer Service always seems to take a really long time, and Cashiers seem to do things instantly.

I've never actually price matched before. I'm going to try soon, as neither of the HMV's I went to today had copies of Culdcept Saga, and I'd really like to grabit fairly cheap.
Just bring the game and printout to the Cashier?

Edit: Now that I recall that I haven't had a printer in years, can I get a pricematch without a print-off? Would Customer Service look up the website and check for me?

tell someone in the games department you want to price match. usually if they know about the price they'll just do it. otherwise they'll probably call for you.

Don't do it! It was horrifically awful. If you can con 3 other friends into playing it with you they will hate you for ever, and it is most definitely not worth the achievements.

Yeah I was there earlier and I can confirm there are still copies left.

Well, neither the Futureshop or Bestbuy I went to had copies of Culdcept Saga for me to Pricematch with. I ended up finding Dark Sector at a nearby EB for $10, so the trip wasn't really a loss.
I still have hope to find Culdcept Saga in Calgary sometime soon.

Just so you know, Culdcept isn't really worth driving around for. $10 is the right price for it. Play the demo if you haven't already. It's a boring board game, and I'm saying that being a fan of board games and RPGs. Not that I don't want you to get it, by all means do if you want it. But don't expect to be a hidden RPG gem.

I just grabbed Culdcept Saga at the HMV in West Edmonton Mall. Looked around for more copies for the people looking for it on here but couldn't find any others. Also grabbed "Universe at War." Anyone play it and is it worth $10?
