So I know that Target is carrying a special edition of Shawn White Snowboarding : Road Trip (as well as the 360 and PS3 editions as well) that includes extra stages and other things. I wanted to know 2 things though:
1. What exactly is the extra content in the target edition? I figure if I'm going to (eventually) pick the game up , I might as well get the one with more content , I just want to know what it is ahead of time.
2. More importantly though , will a save file from the non-target edition of the game work ok with the special edition? I'd figure it would be I just want to check if anyone knows. Mainly because I rented the game from gamefly , but if my save game from the standard edition that I rented won't be compatible with the special edition that I might buy , I won't bother starting the game and just send it back.
I know the second question is probably a dumb one , but I figured I'd ask anyway.

Spoilers ho!
In the Target Limited Edition, the third mountain/setting is "Target Summit." You have two courses with four stunt challenges to play through, and your available characters are your two starters and Shaun White himself (the "story" is set in a "one year ago" flashback). Shaun is (naturally) very good in all stats, and you can easily meet all of the goals if you play as him during that stage. After the Target stage, you continue the game as usual.
The Target courses are lots of fun -- they're fairly long with nice steep drops, and offer lots of opportunities for grinding and stunts. I admit that I wish there were a few more Target courses, though the Swiss Alps stage has some good stuff too. Playing them with Shaun is a little too easy, but you can just swap characters if you want a challenge. ;)

As a semi-veteran of the SSX series I found the early stages a little too easy, but it's kind of a charming game despite the "whoa dude" attitude and the shameless promotion. And I still don't like the idea of an "exclusive" version with extra content. I'd much rather it be a Target exclusive, rather than have gimped versions for sale everywhere else.

Wait a minute - did I read it correctly? The "exclusive" content is actually in the PS3 and 360 versions available everywhere (and there without Target advertising everywhere) and is just TAKEN OUT of the Wii versions not sold at Target? Plus it costs $5 more at Target? That is truly awful. I say don't buy this game, just to send them a message. Or did I misunderstand?

I had the understanding that the bonus items on the Target editions in the Wii/PS3/360 weren't available in the non-Target editions.
EDIT: Checking various boards, this appears to be the case.
