How much did you spend on games in 2008?

I know it's probably hard to remember an exact amount, but roughly how much did you spend this year? How many games did you buy?

I've only kept track since June (when I joined CAG). Since June 13th, I've spent $484.29 cash on video games (including all game-related investments), and gotten $430.60 back from selling (all stuff bought after June 13th).

So in total, I spent a net of $53.69 on video games. I have bought 31 GameCube games, 3 Platinum Wavebirds, a GameCube Gameboy player, a 251 block memory card, a PS2 slim system with controller, 58 PS2 games, 5 PS2 8MB memory cards, 2 Nintendo DS Lite systems, 35 DS games, 58 Gameboy and Gameboy Color games, 2 Playstation games, 2 360 games, an Xbox Live Vision Gold pack (includes 12-mo Live code), and a wireless guitar for the PS3.

PS, I spent a lot more cash in the first half of 2008. Probably a few hundred on a couple dozen PS2 games.

According to my purchase history through Amazon.com, I spent about $467.66 just in games. I bought majority of my games through Amazon.com and a few clearance games from Circuit City. My guess is in the $500 range is the amount I spent on games. One thing I learned through 2008 is that I will never preorder through Amazon.com EVER again. Okay, I lied. I'll preorder one game...the Suikoden game for the DS. BUT THAT'S IT! No more preordering through Amazon for me anymore.

$60 for Gears 2 (got a $10 gc for preorder, so I guess $50) and $54 for Soul Calibur IV.

Other than that, probably just $40-60 in shipping costs for sending games out on Goozex and trade credits for requesting games as everything else I got was either from goozex or a gift this year.
