Can someone help me out with this avatar?

I know some of you are some real pros with Photoshop or GIMP. I am not. I was wondering if someone could make the background transparent and just leave the bears head with the beige border thats around his head too. Thanks if you can help.

Here. I did a little editing so it's not as grainy. I added a matte so it blends with CAG's background. I can remove it if you want.

Thanks Moxio. Is there anyway to get it fully transparent? I was hoping because other forums have different color backgrounds and I was hoping to use it other places as well. If not thats cool, thanks for the help.

Sorry, can't help with the transparency. When I make it transparent I get this nasty looking white border around the image.

It seems you saved the avatar as a JPEG or GIF, so it's not transparent in your avatar space. Save it as a GIF and it'll look transparent.

Don't worry Moxio. I may have posted first, but you did a better job.

That white border is called a "matte". It is left there, because when GIFs are transparent, they have jagged edges. Mattes are a form of antialiasing, forming a white border around the jagged edges to make it more smooth.
