That doesn't look like it's from Amazon... just some seller or store who sells on Amazon.

That's Fable II at the first return result. Look at the difference, that's how Amazon normally lists their game with the FSSS, the customer rating, system, etc.... the picture you posted was doesn't show any of that.

That's all I was pointing out... unless you're talking about something completely different that I'm not seeing.

EDIT* Found it. This isn't Amazon's listing, its J&R's.:-?

What I'm pointing out is the 100 price tag, dropped to 60...

dang you got me... I was hoping it was on sale for like $35 or something since I heard the game is really really short.. and I'm a big rpg fanatic.

I <3 me some RPGs as well, and I spent a good 25-30 hours with Fable II. The length is in the side quests and side content around the main story. Hell, they even included some quests that you can only get to AFTER you beat the main quest, so "finishing" the game isn't really the end of stuff to do. There's also replay value in the good/evil system.

I imagine that, if I were to always use the fast travel system to get to my next quest point and blow through nothing but the main storyline, then yeah, it wouldn't have taken long. But there's so much else to do that playing it that way would be missing the point of the game.

Yipes, didn't know anybody liked it that much. I was really unhappy with it. My brother really wanted it, but even though I didn't I obliged. I blew through the game in ~8 hours and really felt no attachment to play it afterwards. Getting married takes all of 5 minutes, so there's no good relationships that you feel like you got this far (Consider Harvest Moon, or The Sims) and I had owned half the buildings.

Long story short, expect to see me on the CAG trading forums in a day or two.

Well it's currently sitting at an 89 on Metacritic, so I hardly feel like I'm the only one of the opinion that it was a quality release. It sounds like you did exactly what I said would miss the point, blew through it quickly instead of stopping to enjoy the details of the world and all the things you can do in it. No offense meant, of course. That's not a wrong way to play games if that's what you're into, but this game obviously wasn't meant to be played that way.

Sorry you didn't fall for it the way many did. I hope whoever snags it in a trade sees what I saw in it.

And I've been trying to tell you all this time is that this isn't Amazon's listing... it's for J&R. Amazon's listing for the game has the correct retail price, J&R's listing is the one that's messed up. A lot of retailers sell on Amazon and can make their own listings for an item rather than use Amazon's.

This isn't "Amazons' killer Fable II deal!," it should be "J&R's killer Fable II deal".

I actually spent a few good hours before I went to the spire and before I saved the Hero of Skill, and it was nothing compared to something like Mass Effect with stunning amounts of dialogue or exploration options. Like I said, it wasn't a bad game, more like unfulfilling considering I expected something like Bethesda or Bio Ware games length and choices. The combat was pretty decent but it just lacked immersion.

Oh, my bad, regardless, it's still a big mess up =/

hehe. too funny. were they recently bought by Kohls? if i remember correctly, a year ago they priced their video game selections at that price.
