Buy the 20gb with credit, hop on newegg and buy another hard drive for it, win.

oh, and since it's refurb, BUY A WARRANTY. ffs, you don't want to pay Sony's repair fee if something f's up.

I, myself, don't usually jump on anything refurbished... and sometimes I feel like a sucker for buying warranty... but if you do get it, use caution, and yes, you can upgrade to a larger HDD

hands down, wait for the 60 for $50 more...it was, and still is, the best PS3 made

I would just say to buy a new one for whatever the MSRP is in Canada, since taking a chance on a used system, even with a warranty from EB/GS is bound to be a crapshoot.

But if you're getting it for the PS2 BC or any other reason a newer, non BC system wouldn't work in this case, then I'd definitely ask them to test it completely in store before buying it and definitely get the warranty. Hopefully, the warranty is a decent length though, since the original factory warranty is LONG since up on that system.

If, however, you needed to send it into Sony for repairs, it typically runs $149 for repairs(flat fee) and they usually require you to have the receipt and send in a copy of it with the PS3.But again, I think the warranty really applies to the original owner and not you.

Used Prices at EB Games
20-299
40-325
60-349
80-379 New-399
160-New 499

Which one is the better buy???

Honestly, if you don't need/want the BC for PS2 games, I'd just go with the 80 gb for $399 NEW.

Why take a chance on someone else's system?
