View Full Version : Gears of War 2 - Cannot connect to host! HELP!

The last two times I tried playing co-op with a friend we cannot connect with each other. I keep getting an error message saying "cannot connect to host" or something along those lines. Any idea what might be causing this? We are both definitely online and can see our friends, download demos, send and receive messages, watch movies, etc. We just can't play multiplayer. It is really frustrating. Any ideas on what could be causing this?

Check your NAT settings. If it's 'Open,' it should be fine. If it's 'Moderate,' you may have trouble connecting with those with a 'Strict' NAT setting. If it's 'Strict', you can only connect with those who have an 'Open' setting.
