By any chance do any of u CAGs have a MAS arcade stick for the PS2 that u use for SF IV on the PS3? Is so, does it work 1st off, and 2nd, is there any lag? Thanks in advance.
Anyone?

Wow, a cabinet? I thought he just won the trip for two to EVO. That's a nice extra.
Saw a guy in the parking lot carrying a TE stick he won in the raffle. Definitely did not think about jumping him. :-\"

Well I remember hearing on the news about a heinous video game merchandise related crime involving someone being viciously beaten in a parking lot. You know, I'm not saying but I think I'm saying that it might have been someone else.

You forgot the big, honkin' trophy and over-sized, novelty check.

Forgot about that. I just remember before we left that one of the Capcom reps had that giant check in his hands and was running somewhere with it. Not sure where to.

Probably to the nearest ATM to see if it's fit in its deposit slot before anyone notices he's gone.

SF4 national finals were crazyyyy. Some guy even has videos up already. Daigo VS Japanese champ Iyo was definitely the best match of the night:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hSiOyDKgp5Q
And then whenever Justin Wong did Rufus's ultra, the crowd would all do the last motion. Awesome (ultra starts at ~2:00):
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qfQdA0HfdOU#t=2m00s
Took some horrible quality camera phone photos (gallery and commentary here (http://metaly.org/archives/2009/0419_street_fighter_iv_national_finals_2009.html)) but I'm sure all the blogs will have better stuff up tomorrow. Here's some of the stuff I picked up instead:
http://i299.photobucket.com/albums/mm287/hoimi/game/sf4/IMG_11370.jpg
Brought my copy of SF4 to get signed by Ono -- they weren't giving those out. :)
these matches make you really step your street fighter game up and the part that makes me sad is that I know I was a better SF player when I was younger. :( age does that to you. I wish I could train with these guys for a day. experience counts for so much
Is there going to be a full costume DLC pack end of April?
I remember hearing something about this myself. I think the full costume pack should be available for sale with the championship pack.
@furashu great games man. Your Balrog is great. Zangief just has an advantage over him. anytime you want matches hit me up.

maybe I'm still young, but I'm sure that I'm better now since back in the SF2T days I didn't even think of doing combos..the only one I did by accident was the uppercut (nonsrk) + fireball from inputting SRK incorrectly.
I finally picked up a stick and I still cannot for the life of me do Guile/vega's ultra correctly, that and hadokens don't come out as consistently as I'd like. Looks like I need to undo years of pad fighting habits +the 45hrs I have in SFIV, 10 hours? 20?

@jterp. I have been playing street fighter since '92. lol. and I will say the game changed a lot the moment the dragon punch was vulnerable on the way up. I remember the days of just controlling space and punishing people who jumped. poor zangief back in those days. lol
when I was younger I couldn't do a dragon punch for the life of me until I got the game at home. now I can pull them off no problem. I started on a stick though thats why it will be easier for me to convert back to a stick.
once you get use to a stick though you will pull out your moves more consistently and not worry about thumb burn.
I will say it now when the championship dlc is available I will do whatever I can to help organize a game night for sf4. I don't wanna step on anyones toes so youy guys let me know what to do.

@jterp. It took me a day or so to get used to playing with a stick. But this was during SF4 release, and I probably played like 10 hours on the second day I had it (sick day FTW!). :)
I'll be down for some CAG fight nights.
Has anyone else noticed a trend from online being mostly Ken players to now Ryu players where once their Ultra meter is built up, they just turtle and wait to do the lp.srk >> ultra combo on your jump in?
Almost as infuriating as Kenpachi's 'gief. D:
jterp7
04-20-2009, 01:19 PM
lol that reminds me..stuck on time attack 11, that one where you start with 50 seconds, just can't get past gief..that includes using gief + cheese tactics lol.

04-20-2009, 01:22 PM
Spamming lariats with 'gief can't get you through it?
Might want to switch to the 3K lariat to get the first knockdown, then spam 3P lariats just out of SPD range FTW.
DarkKenpachi
04-20-2009, 01:56 PM
@jterp use gief's cross up when he does the lariat when you jump. either down and hard punch or down and low kick. either one will get though and at worst trade hits with him.
@ohvermie you know I use more people than zangief. :P

Yeah, but only Zangief makes me angry. But I guess that's my fault for playing low damage output characters. Like shooting peas at a tank and then getting crushed under its treads.

someone posted ( i think inf) a while back in this thread a link to youtube videoes showing an easy way to do guile's super/ultra.
DarkKenpachi - you know where i get a list of bread and butter combos and 2in1's. i remember reading that you said most people dont use the training combos. my problem is that i dont know what should link, esp for gief.

lol. funny thing is I tend to only pick gief when I get annoyed myself. Though I am more of a flexible fighter and tend to react upon who my opponent picks. Though I will admit I have to relearn a few fighters again and take time to perfect my gen and abel.

yeah most people don't use those training combos nor do they have imagination to pull off other combos. I got a few combos I love to use that I never see anybody use but me.
ok back to the help: check gamefaqs for each character for all street fighter games and most combos are still the same
1. sf is like driving, once you get use to distance you will be a better judge at combos. example. if you jump in deep you have a variety of options to choose from. but if you jump in far you only have 2 options. this is easier to explain with pictures.
2. easiest way to combo from the start is to just do a normal move into a super move. ex. medium punch into super move. combos like that are universal for everyone. best thing about them though is that once you get comfortable with doing that then you can add in an extra hit in the middle and add in an ultra or ex move after the super move hits.
3. as far as gief goes he is a timing character with his combos like (cross up hard punch, jab jab jab ex green fist) and a lot of his good ones revolve around the green palm and the spd. I don't use the spd ones because I feel as though they are cheap(I know I know lol) but they are very good and eat away at damage.
and remember when you use gief treat him like a tank. take one to give one. never be afraid to trade hits with him. (most of the time you will win) oh yeah blocking zangief's lariat is stronger than most characters jab punches.
here is the combo video for gief. don't worry if you can't pull all of them off, take any combo that knocks people down and base your moves on that.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w6Du0b260ww&feature=PlayList&p=8BC0DCDF0EC28460&playnext=1&playnext_from=PL&index=50
add me also. kenpachiexodia
also for everybody: which moves do you like doing but can never pull off successfully in a fight? for me it is zangief's stomach crunch.

I try not to counter pick. Or do you mean react vs opponent playstyle. I need to just hunker down and just play player matches and do nothing but pick a single character. I did that with Chun Li for a couple nights, and it improved my game with her tons. I just need to figure out who I want as a second, I've been hovering towards Sakura or Ken, and I'd like to become competent with Boxer, but I always just slide into relying on LP pokes too much with him and it's just really amateur looking.

I gotta get out of the habit of counter picking myself. though I will admit these days I only use gief and blanka to annoy people. kinda funny because they use to both be my main characters at one time.
your chun li is good. inspires me to play with her myself actually. though I am starting to lean towards rose myself..
who would you say are your five best characters in no particular order
ohvermie
04-20-2009, 06:06 PM
Best 5 is kind of tricky because I am good with maybe 2 characters and the rest are just applying universal principals and special move spam fests. I would have to go with Blanka, Honda, Chun, Sakura, and Guile.
I have issues comboing properly with charge characters which is probably why I do decent with Blanka (guy barely has any combos). Not sure if it's an online issue where the lag eats my charge or if I just don't buffer charges soon enough. I think to get my charge character play up to fighting strength I need to get into the always charging mindset.

my 5 best in no order are: zangief, e honda, blanka, ryu, and toss up between ken and akuma though other people may disagree on who I am good with.

dashing in and jumping in always have their risks... but being a better player means being better on a psychological level, feeling confident that you can do a move with a low risk of getting countered.

Rog's headbutt is good for closing distance. And jumping in is viable, but only if your opponent is in mid-animation of something else.
I should probably try to get some games in with Rolento. Seems like everytime he asks I am fighting someone else.

It might have more priority, but I think the recovery is longer on the headbutt and if it's blocked your right on top of your opponent because of how far forward he goes. Also it rises at a weird angle when doing the MP and HP versions. If I wanted to swat shit out of the air with Balrog, just do crouching HP, it counters most jump-ins clean.
DarkKenpachi
04-21-2009, 05:32 PM
thats so true about the headbutt. it just annoys me when I get hit by it because it looks so telegraphed. great juggle move also.
this game has so many juggle combos it is silly. I played a Gen last night and the combos he was doing were outright ridiculous.

Wong won Nationals, but Daigo won the exhibition between Wong, Iyo, and Poongko. Prize was a SFIV Arcade cabinet. Might've been some other stuff, not sure.
So was Daigo not competing? Because Daigo ripped Justin Wong in one of the videos I've seen (Ryu vs Rufus)
Does Nationals mean that only people in the US can compete?

One question. Maybe it's just me, but do any of you experience input lag in this game online? Especially against opponents with 2 bars or less connection, even some 3 bars?
One good example of this is when Dhalsim teleports behind me. I know my reaction is fast enough to block appropriately, but even though my input is correct and hopefully on time, I still get hit. I tested this with a sixaxis pcb and my fighting stick 3.
I hope the input lag isn't coming from my controllers.

Nope, he wasn't competing. He was only allowed to play in the Exhibition between himself, the US Nationals champ (Justin Wong), Poongko and Iyo. Same goes for Poongko and Iyo (only allowed to play in the Exhibition). I guess it was sort of a little, "Who's the best in the world?" kinda thing.
The event was US Nationals, after all, and Daigo isn't from America.

@ohvermie you down for some matches tonight?
I need more practice with my zangief. I am forcing myself to become more patient with him. last night I fought a ranked match against akuma and he was was poking away at me with fireballs. well he had over 70 percent of his energy left and I hit him with a full ultra atomic buster and it killed him. I would have been so pissed if I was that akuma. I mean I know he takes damage for no reason(his HP are like 900 or 850 if I am not mistaken) but that right there was crazy.

That is exactly why Zangief makes the baby jesus cry. If I had a dollar for everytime I played a Zangief and was winning by a wide margin, and only need to do like one more combo for the win, only to get slapped by the Ultra and lose 60%+ of my health. Even more frustrating because I have to play keep away and footsies for 60 seconds to get there.
I feel bad about it, but sometimes I am just tempted to just counterpick with Sagat and just standing roundhouse the guy in his small Russian head until he dies.
I might be able to squeeze some SF4 in tonight, but it's GTA night. Although last time I was playing GTA I was trying to do fireballs and dragon punches while melee fighting...
DarkKenpachi
04-22-2009, 02:33 PM
zangief is ridiculous but still he has so many negatives against him. all shotos except dan have jump priority over him period and flipping bison can just poke him to death with the head stomp. everything can be worked around though that is why I am retraining myself to be more patient with him.
that reminds me that I should play GTA4. I bought it first day played it for 2 hours never played it again. looks like imma join in on game night so I can get murdered. lol

the biggest problem your having right now is that you probably never used a stick before to play street fighter. the stick is overall better though and it is more accurate which takes getting use to. I suggest you go into practice and try to do each move 10 times straight. if you mess up start over and remember EVERYONE MESSES UP A MOVE NOW AND THEN even the great daigo and wong and whoever else the community kneels before. lol

I have about 2 days with my TE stick and in training mode I noticed that I wasn't inputting the punch at the right time after the quarter motion. It'll probably take me a couple weeks to pull supers/ultras as easily as with the pad, but certain motions like guile/vega ultra and fei longs chicken wing are so easy to pull off with the stick that are just impossible with the pad.

Sticks really take getting use to. I just started using a stick myself and I can pull off most the moves but sometimes I can't get the supers/ultras out in time. Also sometimes I can do a wake up attack. It probbaly is all on me and timing it. The great thing is that once you play SFIV with a stick, a controller just isn't the same anymore.
Charge characters and much easier to use. I can pull out the hooligan with Cammy at anytime. Focus Attacks Dash Cancels are harder for me though
I wish I woke up and hour or 2 earlier to get in on the TE stick. Sucks that the last time I ordered 2 they canceled one because of limited supplies. Now on the site it says 2 per person. BS.

 I think I'm one of the few people who really makes an effort to play more mind games than doing damage. I think that's half why I like dan since his Taunts actually help my play style a bit better.
I'm horrible with all the shotos like ryu and akuma.... I can put up a good fight with them, but i'm not too comfortable with them like I am with dan.

@rolento you are right. I need to take a few pages from your book with mind games so I can step up to the next level.
So here is a question for everybody:
Where did you learn your street fighter style from? Arcade, friends, school, etc. etc.
My style is a combination of the arcades in Atlantic City and Center City Philadelphia. I feel so old.( I remember arcades :))
ohvermie
04-23-2009, 01:00 PM
I am going to say my SF style comes from playing tons of Alpha 1 & 2 with friends on PS1 throughout HS and at the arcade in college (but that was more MvC2 and Soul Cal than SF). Also, Chinatown Fair. Tic Tac Toe Chicken and ST 4 lyfe! :)
I am tempted to go down there on a weekend and try my SF4 "skills" against the crowd there. But I fear that Justin Wong will be playing and I will just get totally ass raped and embarrassed. :(
DarkKenpachi
04-23-2009, 01:56 PM
@ohvermie thats the only way to get better. take that ass whipping it will help your game so much. besides not believing in yourself is the first sign of defeat. besides it is street fighter you might get lucky and play him when he is using an off character. lol
you ever hear that phrase that a good fighter can tell how good their opponent is by how they breathe or move or something like that? (you know what I mean)
well street fighter is like that also. you can tell how good your opponent is within the first 20 seconds of a round.
ohvermie
04-23-2009, 02:28 PM
I will gladly take my lumps to learn (as evidenced by our Boxer and Gief constant beatdowns), but not when there's $1 a game at stake! :)
But you're right, with online matches, I usually have a good idea of how it's going to be after the first 20 seconds (and if the round is over before 20 seconds is up, I know it's going to be a long uphill battle). Although I usually play horrid first rounds, even against people I am familiar with. I think I need to go back to best of 3 and tighten up my play instead of dicking around the first round.
DarkKenpachi
04-23-2009, 03:35 PM
the arcade makes it better though because you have that if I lose I lose my money mentality and it helps you a lot trust me. it gives you a fire that makes you a better player.
the best matches always happen in the last round though. especially to see who gets that last hit when both fighters are a breath away from losing the match.

i used my friend's SE back when I didn't think I'd be getting a joystick. Like most both of us were better, initially with the pad, since we're not from the arcade age (last arcade with MvC was turned into a damn nail salon). So at that point I didn't care for it. Now that I have a TE, the first thing I realize is the SE is quiet a bit smaller, especially for the wrist rest area, and I don't have particularly big hands. It also has a nice weight to it. Considering that I have one and am just an amateur with 43hrs total, I'd say you should definitely get one.

Strangely enough with the stick I can do quarter motion's easily on the left now as opposed to the pad where going right was the easier direction. Still deciding on whether I should flick or do a precise motion like I do for the charge guys. I have to say I'm kind of annoyed that bison warp still comes out when doing the ultra sometimes.

Keep both SE and TE. With the SE you will need to order the Sanwa or Seimitsu joystick and add some buttons too. MadCrapz brand buttons suck. Akihabarashop.jp or lizardlick.com.

Ugh even championship mode is broken
I play my first match against a good crimson viper who beat me first round and win. I get 203 CP.
I play my second match and win the first round with like 80% health left against an awful ryu. Second round "disconnected from player" then it tells me "Connection to PSN lost" except I'm still logged into PSN just fine.
Then I go back into championship mode and it says "since the last match didn't conclude properly you must start from the first battle"
Then again "Connection to PSN lost" despite still being very logged into PSN..
edit: just went back on after a couple hours and it worked fine. won 2 championships and ranked up G3-C :)

Cool -- I should be on tonight. My nerves are a bit fried, though, after doing Tournament mode for the past hour. It's the same kinda shakiness I got when I first started playing online ranked matches. The nerves will eventually disappear after doing this for a few more days.
Bear in mind though, that first tournament may have been a fluke. For the rest of the afternoon, I got 1 Runner's Up, 2 3rd places, and several 1st round knock-outs.
Still fun though and I'm looking forward to climbing the ranks. It'll help people of similar levels really stick together -- hopefully avoid the scrub issues.
One question: Is Guile's "Double Sweep" always safe on block? I'm trying to find a way to respond w/ Boxer but nothing seems to work outside of EX something.
DarkKenpachi
04-24-2009, 06:37 PM
guile's double sweep is vulnerable after each kick. I use to smack him back after the first kick but it is just easier to block nowadays for me. if your balrog you can jab him out of the second kick if you play it right.

I figured that, but I always seem to be in block-stun can can't get anything out. Or when I do make a move I get hit by his second sweep, or it's too late and he blocks.
I always want to punish a blocked sweep w/ my own (probably force of habit from SF II), but if the only option is a jab then I'll make do. Just gives me more incentive to master Boxer's cLpx2 ~ cLk ~ Headbutt combo. I can always do the first part but finishing w/ the headbutt is giving me some issues.

why buy a tournament stick? that shit is so ugly, just mod it, 6buttons for $24, joytick for $25, a little less than $10 for shipping, totals like 60, so 60 + 70 = 130

yeah I figured it was going to be that much. I need to read up on it though because after I get the replacement parts I wanna try to use the other parts and make one from scratch. everyone says it is easy so might as well try something new with left over parts.
and if the job turns out good then I can do the same and swap those parts out for sanwa parts as well.

for cammy. you gotta start doing cannon drills from certain distances to play those games with your oppoenents. the short one works best from 3 people away. soon as they try to act, you can normally counter with a cannon drill at the moment.

I think the thing with the new ranking system is that it just hasn't had time to pan out yet, so you're going to be seeing some really stiff competition even if the player has low GP. Don't be discouraged! :)
My Fighting Stick 3 kicked the bucket over the weekend. Well not really, the plastic nubs that held the stick to the panel snapped off. I am going to have to drill a hole into the panel and run screws through the top. Not sure if it's really worth the effort. I paid $30 for the stick and have gotten almost 200 hours of SF4 logged into it. Might just splurge and get a HRAP or a MadCatz stick (now that they're a little easier to find).

problem with that is if they are walking back or dashing forward you'll miss iwth it and get left open. And if they are holding downback you will miss the throw and land in front of them. What cammy really needs is an overhead attack. I'm fine with all her moves but i have such few options when I corner them. The spinning back fist could definitely be sped up, especially if it's an EX. I also hate that her Ultra completely misses if a person is doing a FADC.

That move is ok, but down-back simply owns it. Why can't it be like the CvS2 version.

I have come up with a seemingly useful application for the hooligan. Basically, if you're performing a block string on the opponent, noteabley c.lk,c.lp,c.lk, you can do a hp hooligan then cancel asap. This can also be used on her back throws, and hooligan throws.
- If the opponent is still crouching (most likely is), you'll end up on the other side and the hooligan will act like sort of a cross up minus the attack part. From there, you can c.mk xx whatever (even a super if you can hit confirm it).
-If the opponent decides to stand up for whatever reason, you'll get the hooligan throw and an easy knockdown.
-If the opponent is mashing reversal dp (mashing df and punch). You'll most likely get hit. So you'll still have to watch out for this and predict accordingly by blocking or doing nothing if you think they'll do it.
I've had moderate success with this, and I think it's a decent mind game. I believe it can be reacted to, but I never see any other Cammy's do this, so it must be a new thing to many others.
I really have got to stop playing charge chars. I can't pull off a decent srk anymore... at least when I want to...
As for the replays... I still haven't figured out how to do it. Where's the option?

Replays work by being in the top 5000 CP.
SO unless the amount of CP you win is in the top 5000 you will not get a chance to upload your replay.
If you already have a replay, then you have to beat your highest CP tourney to get another replay to replace the old one.
I do not play on a PS3 but I'm sure the rules of replay are the same as the 360.
On the 360, I've played against the 3rd, 6th and 10th person on XBL with the highest GP.
3rd uses Cammy, 6th uses M Bison, 10th uses Akuma. They are all too deadly, felt like I couldn't even pull off an attack or counter.

I am really on the fence on this one. mainly because I want all the packs. Capcom can do better with this one though.
here is a suggestion. instead of selling unlock keys from the first day of release you sell unlock keys for not just extra outfits, but extra characters(cammy, gen, etc.) extra stages, or and extra music.
this way you are rewarding players who actually play the game, but are able to earn profit from the ones who want everything from the start.
anyway I think imma retire from SF and games for a little to clear my head about life.

I thought it was stupid to include a downloadable pack in the Collector's edition. CE should have had it's own costumes or colors.

I was telling my best friend when this came out that there is a potential for capcom to make me poor.
I would love to see them release a classic music pack, 3D remakes of old stages, costume packs, whatever. New characters would be nice- but hell- they could even release variations of existing characters with different move sets (Where is alpha Ken with crazy kicks and roll?). They could even release packs changing the game dynamics (Add Parry counters, Alpha counters or Custom combos).
The options are endless- and I hope they see it that way and do some fun stuff via DLC. I don't think SF4 will have the DLC legs that something like Burnout has- but they could milk it for a while if they wanted (Super Street Fighter EX+@ 4 Turbo' anyone?).

The G-2 "rank" has a good 10K+ GP range. I constantly find myself getting up to the finals or 3rd match only to run into someone with ~9K GP and getting totally manhandled. Although it has started to break some of my bad habits (trying for meaty pokes on wake-up, jumping in a bunch), but it can be frustrating.
I think the key to winning G-2 matches is to play as Guile. I play my best as Chun-Li, but I ran into some Guiles that had really high GP, but they honestly just weren't that awesome (lots of turtling). So I switched to Guile for some games. Won my first G-2 tourney with him and my Guile is pretty stank. I guess people just don't know what to do against him?

Is there an easier way to input FA cancels after moves? Seems like everytime I FA cancel a move and try to dash out of it, I dash too much and can't input anything in time. I managed to do one of Gouken's hard trials with a FA cancel juggle into ultra because there was plenty of time to recover from a second dash. But I can never get the game to just register one dash after an FA. I think the game buffers a bit too much for its own good for the sake of making things "easier" and that I am a total spaz when it comes to higher level execution.

You can quickly work your way through the challenges by using Zangief and lariat spamming the hell out of them. :)

i hadnt even thought about that lol
i am really wishing i had an arcade stick for this game...i have an x-arcade double stick, but the adapters would be a solid $50 and i have heard 0 reviews as to someone using an x-arcade with a ps3

i've actually went back to HD Remix.

As for the combo challenges, those unfortunately you'll have to do on your steam. Turbo button helps getting some of the links down, but the really tricky timing ones aren't until the hard combos. There are also youtube videos out for all the combo challenges, since some of them aren't just standard combos, but juggles and the game doesn't tell you (I'm looking at you Chun Li normal combo trial!).

Ok here goes probably an older question but now that I am using an arcade stick I cannot consistently pull off Sagat's low step kick->tiger shot. The problem I am having is every time I want a tiger shot the knee comes out. I can pull the knee off every time but the high and low tiger shots give me trouble.

This sounds similar to the problem I used to have with the dpad when I used ryu/ken/etc. You have to make sure that you complete the motion to the right otherwise the shortcut motions in SFIV may lead to a knee coming out.

Still three spots open on my SF4 Costume pack group
1. Me
2. Bri-0
3.
4.
5.
If people are interested it only cost 2.82 for the pack.
If all goes well, me and Bri-0 agreed on doing this again for MvC2.

Just picked this game up from Half-Price Books for $23.98 before tax. Going to give it a whirl then goozex it's ass.
I really think the move system is archaic but who cares? It looks purty.

I've got this game on rental from Blockbuster. If anyone wants to destroy me, just add me on PSN(Cartman058). I am wtfawful at this game. I've played about 5 matches online and have only been close to winning in one.

Timing.
Look at the golden line across your opponents health bar for when to push the next button.
Also get a stick, you'll enjoy the game much more and you'll probably never want to go back to a controller again.

I guess I'll be the first to mention that although the stick gives you much better control I'm probably one of the few still hanging around G3, so I doubt I'll ever be G1 but I'll never say this game is too easy.
ohvermie- you want to do a group buy for mvc2 and HDR?

Thanks for the invite the other night jterp7.
Once you get 2000 GP you get to G2-E. I have seen some who have 12000GP and are still G2.
I had fun with G3, but G2 I haven't gotten past a 3rd bout. It's no fun playing G2, can't beat these kids who play all the time.
I feel as though having the button layout with the stick is nice, but I have more control with the DS3. May have to go back to DS3.

I have about 25hrs of SFIV using the TE stick now and I'm sure I can never go back. If anything because I got used to doing ultras with all three buttons instead of the shoulder buttons on the DS3. Also, seeing as my main is balrog, going back to the ds3 wouldn't work too well. I'd probably still be better with the ds3 for shotos especially for consistent ultra execution in those key moments, but I'd rather improve on the stick.
you have a good blanka decon, good for annoying ken/ryu users lol

Not particularly interested in MvC2 or HDR. Sorry.
I guess I should add some peeps to my friends list for SFIV fighting since it seems like everyone on my list is playing inFAMOUS. D:

I had some good games last night...
I was in the championship match last night against an akuma with my zangief. He comes at me with the raging demon and I grab him out of it with gief's ultra. All I could do is laugh because it felt so good to really enjoy the game again. I know I had at least 5500 points after the match so I wonder why it won't come up as a replay for everyone to watch?

Great move with Gief. I started playing him more since people rip up Blanka in G2.
I believe replay is only available as a save for the top 5000 players.

Yup, replays are for the TOP 5000 CP winners. SO check the leaderboards and look at #4999 and see what you have to beat to get a replay. Some of the top matches I've seen seem to be simple matches(no FADC, no EXs, nothing hard trails) just jumping back and forth with regular moves playing footsies.
There are a few that amaze me though, I speak for the 360, I have no idea about how the PS3 is. But the SFIV 360 thread is pretty much dead.

just time and practice really...for most of us that grew up without arcades, the TE stick will take some getting used to, but I'd say its definitely worth it

Its actually been proven than that line means nothing. Dig around the SRK forums and there's a thread about linking moves that explains it.
