Will Walmart take iPod returns with no receipt? I think each unit has its own individual S/N and barcode.
If I go one step beyond and return a color that's not sold at Walmart (their website doesn't have 16GB orange listed), will it go through?

As long as it's in the system.
Keep in mind, you will only be getting store credit. ALSO, some stores are possibly no longer taking returns w/o receipts. Look for signs. If you don't see a sign that says "NO RECEIPT = NO RETURN" you should be fine.
You need to have an ID with you. I'm pretty sure you are only allowed 3 returns w/o a receipt in 6 months.

Don't waste your time, it won't work.

Yeah I am sure my store takes returns without receipt, just not sure about iPods since each unit has its individual serial. And Walmart never took returns on Blurays, so Apple products can be more of a risk.

Pretty much universal for Walmarts is that, while some may take returns without a receipt, they all pretty much won't do it for anything more valuable than $50 or so.

Yeah the more expensive stuff is harder to return I heard - but of course - thanks to people like you most stores now are doing away with the no receipt policy. I even had a hard time returning a Walmart brand product without the receipt the other day - even though they knew they were the only store to sell it. I really hate that the return fraud has lead a lot of stores to do away with the policy because honest people do lose receipts some times.
What you are doing is illegal.

illegal and probably won't work since there was a post that said wal-mart will no longer take in returns w/o receipt.
