Couldn't find a thread for this game, but it looks like flOwer will be out next month.
Info:
http://www.us.playstation.com/PS3/Games/Flower
The pioneers that brought you the award-winning PLAYSTATION®Network title flOw are back with another concept that challenges traditional gaming conventions. Flower expands the team’s tradition of delivering simple gameplay, accessible controls and a medium to explore emotional chords uncommon in video games. In Flower, the surrounding environment, most often pushed to the background in games, is pulled to the forefront and becomes the primary “character.” The player fades from an external and stressful world in the opening of this fresh and genuine game only for PS3, and journeys through beautifully vivid landscapes, changing the his surroundings and exploring nature along the way.
Playing as the wind, the player guides and grows a swarm of pedals by interacting with other flowers and the surrounding environment.
The goals and journey in each level vary, but all involve flight, exploration and interaction with the level. Using simple SIXAXIS™ wireless controls, the player guides the lead petal and accumulates a swarm of flower petals as he moves at his own pace within the environment, causing the on-screen world to change. Flower's gameplay offers different experiences, pacing and rhythm to all players. Along the way, the environment will pose challenges to the player’s progress.
Both pastoral and at times chaotic, Flower is a visual, audio and interactive escape on PS3.
Key Features:
Simple Gameplay Controls – Accessible controls appeal to both the casual and hardcore gamer and offer simplistic and relaxing gaming. Freely playing as the wind is as easy as titling the SIXAXIS™ wireless controller.
Lush and Interactive Environment on PS3 – In Flower, over 200,000 blades of grass are simulated and animated simultaneously on-screen, creating an verdant environment not possible on any other platform.
Dynamically Adjusting Experience – Players with differing skill levels and/or moods can intuitively customize their game experience and enjoy the game at their own pace.

February 12 is the official release date for Flower. No price is mentioned, but I'd imagine $10 would be the asking price. There's also a new trailer at the bottom of the post.

Amazing game so far, really relaxing and seems like a good stress reliever. Music is soothing and everything looks pretty good, well worth the $10! Just got to stage 3 and found a secret flower in stage 2. I'm going to try and get all of the trophies without a guide since it seems like they shouldn't be too bad, should make it more enjoyable figuring them out on my own.

The experience is very unique... i think my $10.87 is well spent. It's amazing, you're controlling petals! And the fact that Flower was released in February, spring is just around the corner :)
I finished the 2nd level. The game just gave me an idea what to make for my wife and daughter for tomorrow (no way buying expensive real flowers on 2/14, just to see them die in one week).

I just found a guide to all of the secret flowers' locations on GameFAQs.
Here is the list:
Yellow Flower
1: Bloom every white flower in the first area, it'll appear.
2: Bloom every white flower in the second area, it'll appear same as the first one.
3: Behind a rock on the backside of the tree at the end.
Red Flower
1: Bloom every flower you can find before going through the stone wall, it'll pop up [unsure on this one]
2: Aftert the rock wall opens, bloom all the red flowers in that area, then all the yellow flowers. It'll appear on a sort of rocky outcropping.
3: Look around the last area, it's hidden somewhere around there. [unsure on this one as well]
Pink Flower
1: Bloom every flower in the starting area and it'll pop up.
2: In the canyon, stay to the left and enter the cave, then keep to the left and you'll get it. (Stay to the right in the cave to get the flOw trophy.)
3: After the canyon ends and before you enter the field, turn around; it's right there.
Blue Flower
1: Look for two haybales in the distance. One of them has the secret behind it.
2: While charged, make a circle around the wagon. It'll pop up.
3: While charged, go over to the pond that's already lit and fly over it. It'll pop up next to the pond. (Do this with the other, darker pond to get the illuminator trophy.)
Purple Flower
1: When the stage starts, turn around and head over the hill. It doesn't look possible, but it is. You'll see it ahead.
2: In the field with all the towers, look for two that are leaning over slightly, near the back. There are white flowers under them. Bloom those flowers and the towers will fall over; make them both fall over and it'll pop up.
3: When you're just about to leave the maze, and you see the pink speed flowers, turn around and head straight back the other way. You'll run right into the secret at the end of this path.
White Flower
1: In the first main city area, find the two tallest buildings and fly through the door of the one on your right from the way you entered the area. Go up and you'll see it on a rafter.
2: Where the highway splits into 3 ramps, take the one on the far right. You'll enter a sort of garage; it's in there.
3: Somewhere in the last part of the city, right before you enter the evil tower. Look around. [unsure here also]

In the level with the power lines that light up, there is a pond with rocks near a lamp pole. When your petals light up, go to that pond, touch the water and circle around it. The trophy will unlock when you do this.

They are easy to get.
Here is a tropy list if you are curious:
Beginning(Bronze)—The dream has just started...
Discovery(Bronze)—Find and bloom a secret flower
Dream(Gold)—Beyond all flowers lies another room
flOw(Bronze)—Life could be simple...
Healthy Play(Bronze)—Take a ten minute break between any dreams
Illumination(Bronze)—Light a darkened pool
Memories(Bronze)—Reminisce for three minutes before returning to the room
Nature(Silver)—Bloom 10,000 flowers
Palette(Bronze)—Use the grass as your canvas and paint the ground with three different colors
Pure(Bronze)—Journey to the city unscathed
Stars(Bronze)—Release all of the names to the sky
Urban(Silver)—Completely awaken the city
Welcome Back(Bronze)—Play the game after a week long break
Wind(Bronze)—Play with the windmills and ride the wind seven times
The only ones that will take more than what I would consider easy time to obtain are: Bloom 10,000 flowers and play the game after a week long break.

First of all, I whole-heartedly recommend this PSN game over anything that's been released so far. Flower's blend of gameplay, controls, music, and visuals elicit several emotions that I've rarely ever experienced before in all my years of gaming.

I REGRET buying flOw, so I'm extremely wary of this game. There's generally a pattern of enthusiastic reviews and opinions that seems to go hand in hand with art house games that I get suckered into buying... Usually with sentiments like: "You're a troglodyte if you don't enjoy game X."

I thoroughly enjoyed my experience while playing thru flower. It was beautiful, and very relaxing. I do have some issues with it. I found for the cost it was extremely short. I wish there was more bang for my buck and I will not be happy if they come out with DLC levels for a fee in the next month or so. The grass and the physics of it moving were awsome, but the flowers up closed look like shit on my 50" HD TV. I was a little shocked. I also wasn't happy with the ability to explore in each level. Very limited area to go around. I haven't finished it yet, I am in the last level, but I have had a lot of enjoyment while playing this game.

Fl0w was a great game and I have put way more hours in that than Flower. Plus Fl0w has more replay value. It certainly isnt as emotional/majestic as flower, but a great game in its own right. The one place where flower went wrong is the later 2 levels when you have to smash things and be more aggressive. That was when flower started feeling like a game to me, and I did not like it. I wish all the levels were like the first few.

i guess the only thing im concerned about is the length, but based on the overwhemingly positive comments, it doesnt look like ill be disappointed, so imma bite on it. thx peeps
Sat down and finished the game Saturday but I still have a few trophies to get (might as well to extend the gameplay!).
I have a couple of questions about them though:
Dream - I assume this means get every flower in the game? If so, does it remember which ones you got before and you only need to get new ones, or does it just keep your "best" run on each level? I haven't even replayed a level yet so I'm not sure how it looks.
Palette - OK, I thought this one would become clear after playing the game but I just don't get it. How do you paint the ground with different colors??
Illumination - Somehow I completely missed this one yet one of my kids got it. Is this only available on that one level (3rd or 4th I think)?
Pure - (this is the only one with what I consider to be a "real" spoiler so don't click if you haven't played the whole game) I assume this means you can't get "burnt" on the second to last level. I didn't even realize that could happen and it was quite a shock when it did. I could see this one being somewhat tricky, though maybe not if you weren't also trying to get all the flowers.
Healthy Play - Does this mean letting the game sit for 10 minutes in the room with the flower pots before going into a level? I was aware of the 3 minutes before warping back trophy but I didn't even know this one was there until I looked online just now.
Great game though. When I visit my Dad I'll have to gameshare my copy to him so he can try it out. He got a PS3 for blu-ray but hasn't really played any games. Interestingly enough, he did buy Fallout 3 but I don't think he played it more than an hour or so. This game is a probably a little more accessible ;).

This is going to be one of those art house games where you can't have a dissenting opinion.
I think that Flower is infinitely better than flOw. After completing Flower, I really feel I'd be missing out on something great if I passed on it.
I could definitely see someone's point of view that they think the game is too expensive or too short. For me, I found it a unique experience that was worth the $10. However, there is a good chance this game will be on sale in a few months.

Normally a game this short is not worth $10, but the emotional impact and reaction it brings makes it more than worth it.

You have to get all the hidden flowers, 3 for each level.
Palette - It's something you can do at the end of (I think) the 2nd level. Play around.
Pure - Yes you have to go through without getting burnt, but from what I've read, for some reason, you need to get the Dream trophy first, or you won't get this one. Not really sure why.

Man, I just started playing this last weekend and it's absolutely BEAUTIFUL. Worth every cent. I love firing it up when I've got friends over. It's a wonderful showcase of the PS3's capabilities.

Will the game fly by itself for visual entertainment when no one is around?

When no one is around? That's like asking if a tree falls in a forest...

^ what he meant is can the game play a demo from each pot just to give people some idea what's it all about.

Eh, my thoughts on the game is that everybody should in the very least play the game, from start to finish. I bought it, and though it may well be to early to decide whether or not it really is worth that $10 price tag, it is such a gorgeous game that I don't think any written or spoken description can ever do justice to it. Hell, even when you're not playing the game itself was such a beauty. I was really tempted just to "reminisce" on a level, slap my HDTV on a custom picture frame, then call that puppy "art", to be displayed along side a Monet (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Claude_Monet) or Gauguin (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gauguin) piece.
I was really skeptical about the whole "the game evokes emotions" bit, but I would really have to say that it did tug on something in my chest when I was playing it.
It is fairly short, as in, you should be able to blaze through the game in a day's time (non-completionist, of course, but even then, maybe 2 days, tops). Also, the controls took some time to grow on me (not really into the whole sixaxis thing, but w/e), but it is still work a play through.
If Thatgamecompany ever releases Cloud for the PS3 (which I heard somewhere that it will be the next game in development), it will definitely by a zero-day purchase for me.

You could hit "pause" the game, or beat a level but don't quit to the main menu, and the screen will cycle through the various landmarks of the stage, essentially making the post-level stuff a beautiful screen saver.

Finished it, it's really neat. Not 10 bucks neat, but it's worth a play through. My GF is TRYING to play it right now. Hehe
I think the experience was extremely downsized for me due to hearing so many people say, "It's such an emotional experience!" so the whole time I am waiting for when is it gonna 'get me'. I was expecting to witness a baby getting born or something. Same thing with Rez HD, I constantly heard about the last level of REZ and how amazing it was. Ruins the experience. Still very much enjoyed it.
It's probably like Portal for a lot of people, I heard NOTHING about Portal when I got it and I finished it without ever hearing a word, so it was TRULY friggen amazing and unique. But I bet those hearing about how insane and intense portals ending was were probably not able to have such an impactful experience.

yeah it's one of those games that are better the less you hear about it. I think that's what killed it for me with portal. I really didn't like Portal at all, but it was a few months after everyone drooled about it.

I'm sitting at the computer while someone else is playing my PS3, and I just noticed Flower updated. It was either 1.01 or 1.10. Is this new?
