Also in action at CES from Unify4Life (http://unify4life.com/) was their Game|Shadow solution which allows you to use your BlackBerry as a remote control for your PS3. You can even use your berry's keyboard to browse for text input on the PS3's web browser. Here's the official description:
Game|Shadow: can be used standalone, allows your smartphone to control your PS3 DVD. In addition you'll now be able to surf the internet on the PS3, using your smartphone as the keyboard. When used with the AV|Shadow you'll be able to seamlessly change inputs on you AV system and be taken to any book marked website you choose. Game|Shadow will be available in April 2009 with an MSRP of $39.99.

I might give the trial a go. I wish I would have seen this before I bought the chatpad... mind you the chat pad is basically same price as this software...

I love my PS3 and my blackberry...but $39.99 is kind of steep when I can just hook up a keyboard to do the same thing.

If it had infra red, then it could be used as a universal. That would be cool. Actually, now that I think of it, the company that makes the software sells a BT to IR relay, so you could use BB as universal. I just don't like the idea of pulling out my BB, firing up an app, just to do that. Maybe if I had an old BB I could dedicate to it...

I would do it for free... for 40 bucks, I'd rather have the real McCoy
