That's a sweet deal. I just wish I knew when it was going to really ship. :(

Yes, but others have posted deals outside of it, such as GTA.

Nice, but I hate dynasty warrior type games, I hope this one is better...

Already ordered this a few days ago with GTA and Burnout.. but I think the price was like $26.99 then.. bummer. When I add this to my cart, though, it shows $39.99 (same with Fable, which is supposed to be $34.99). Their site sure is screwed up lately.

BTW.. do they know something we don't about this game? I can't believe they'd have it priced so cheap... it looks like it will be an awesome title, especially with an online feature! Then again, the other deals they've had lately haven't been too logical either... maybe they're just trying to get a piece of the video game market. Before this stuff started popping up, I would have never checked Outpost for video games.

I tried to call them and have them adjust the price on my pre-order, but I can't get through to them on the phone, on any of the phone options.

Guess the screw-ups add in to their phone system as well.

I've read the reviews of the PC version and they aren't exactly flattering. Don't get your hopes up on this. I know, I had mine up with the battle and the online then read the review for the PC version. Hopefully they'll fix the XBox one.

First of all it comes up as $40 when you add it to the cart. Also, I dunno what you're talking about because I don't think there is a PC version, perhaps being planned but certainly not released. If you are talking about KUF: A War of Heroes, that's a totally different game altogether.

Just as an FYI...
The PC version was an RPG/RTS style game. This Kingdom under fire is more of Dynasty Warriors meets RTS very light. It is a console action title that is not really at all related to its PC sibling sharing the same name.
They may share character types or land names, etc... but that is as close as they would be related.

Again, just an FYI...

Umm, the old PC game has nothing to do with this game. They weren't even made by the same developer, and the gameplay is totally different. The only thing that's the same is the lisence, that's it. It's like comparing KOTOR to Force Commander just because they're both based on Starwars (or Zelda: Wind Waker to the CDI Zeldas...*shudder*).

Also, the game is planned to be released on the 21st of this month (which presumably means it will actually be in stores on the 22nd). That is if the release candidate passes Microsoft testing, which they'll get the results of tomorrow.

Heh.. yeah, I didn't think there was a PC version of this out yet ;) I'll be keeping my hopes up that this game turns out to be half as cool as it looks. They apparently did everything from scratch since the last KUF game and said they concentrated heavily on action in this game. If the online play is good, this could potentially have a lot of replay value.

Hmmm...last week Outpost had KUF: Crusaders for a little more ($27?), but it came with free shipping, so it was probably a better deal overall.

And yeah, the original PC KUF game, which came out early 2001, was a weak Warcraft clone, which didn't cut it in a post-Starcraft era.

Wish they would have free shipping. Shipping cost like 7+ ground for me. Hope target will have it for 27.99.

Yeah but now it says $39.99 on the product listing page...my advice is to call and try and make sure before you order.

And yeah shipping is like over $5 for me, plus they charge sales tax to my state I think. I consider myself lucky I was able to get a Target raincheck now.

I called them up today (waiting on hold 25 minutes  ) and told them that it was showing on their site at $23.66, versus my pre-order price of $26.50. The guy I spoke with said he was going to do a credit for the difference up-front, so when it ships out, it should charge me for the $26.50, though I'll already have the credit of $2.84 on my card.

That way, they don't have to mess with my order, I get it for $23.66 and I stay in the queue for getting it when they arrive.

And also, this guy had no clue about the phone issues I reported last night, where I couldn't get to them via phone from 10:00-midnight ET last night. He also told me that they're getting in some additional people in to help out with the sales they're offering. Some of the new people hadn't been trained quite right yet, though they're fixing that, to help with some of the customer service issues they're getting.

Bottom line: if you bought it at $26.50, call them and see if they'll do the same for you that they did for me, to get it down to $23.66 net price and not dork up your order.

Up to 4 players in one game with any team combinations (2v2, 1v3, FFA, etc.), and each player gets an army to command in addition to their hero. So in total there will be well over 100 units on the battlefield, and 4 commanders duking it out. I don't think we have the technology for 10+ players in a game like this yet :)

I didn't get a Target raincheck. Hopefully they'll have it for the sale price when it's released, but I'm not holding my breath...

Wish Outpost had a free shipping option on all of their games because I would be all over these deals...
