had some gift cards to burn, was wondering if they are still getting new release games in such as SF 4?

1) It's possible they if they have new shipments on the way.. but upcoming titles are unlikely now.
2) If the gift card isn't worthless already, USE IT NOW. Do not wait.

No. They are liquidating their current inventory. They will not be receiving anything else.

I don't know for sure, but personally I would be shocked if they are getting anything in other than possible consolidations of already existing inventory. Usually once a store is in liquidation they just want to get it all sold, not increase any inventory.

 they had a SF 4 pre-order deal for 49.99 + a $10 giftcard, guess those orders will be cancelled then....

The local FYE near me has been getting new release DVD's in each week yet they are going out of business, which I find completely odd. It could be that not all FYE's are going out of business, unlike CC where all stores are closing.
I'm guessing a small amount of product will still be arriving until the distribution channel is corrected.

They got new release movies this week. I saw Saw V and Max Payne among others. Saw V even came with a CC exclusive keychain I think.
In terms of the new release movies this week, it's really just entirely possible that they actually received the shipments BEFORE they announced the closing, especially with the CC-exclusive keychain Saw.
If I had to guess, I wouldn't expect anything 'new' after this week. The real test would be games... any new releases this week show up at CC? Unless they're huge games, the shipment usually arrives on release day, correct? Really, though, I wouldn't get your hopes up.

CC technically doesn't exist anymore but anything they ordered/paid for before their liquidation now belongs to the liquidation company, I'd assume.

mine had some stuff like ps3 accessories restocked today.
Ok, stuff like accessories might keep showing up, but that really has more to do with shipping stuff between stores and likely getting rid of whatever is in warehouses.
Again, I'd assume no more 'new' releases, which is what the OP was talking about.

The commercials here say that new stuff is arriving daily, so I would assume the liquidators are bringing in their own merchandise, since they own the store they can bring in whatever they want to sell, regardless if its stuff you would normally see at CC or not.
I know its all fluff, but I would bet that at some point you will see new stuff coming in (not new as in new release though).

Yeah, LOTR: Conquest is the most recently released game I've seen at CC so far.
