View Full Version : Deal on a Mini-Fridge

I'm currently looking to get a mini-fridge for my bedroom/gameroom. I don't want to spend too much , but I don't want to get a crappy one either. Any suggestions?
Also is there a mini-freezer to go along with the mini-fridge?8-) (not like a combo fridge/freezer , I mean a separate mini freezer). I've never really seen or heard of a mini freezer before. I don't really need it but I'd be interested in one if they exist and aren't too pricey either.
check craigslist, see them all the time on there. Or just spend the $100-$130 and buy one new. They have them at costco and Sam's club for decent prices new. Also watch target, I have seen them on clearance there before.

I saw some at CC yesterday. You might be able to get one for really cheap depending on the discount.

If rmb has seen them clearanced at Target in MN, it's possible you might find one as well. My local Target (Cheyenne, WY) currently has either 2 or three nice-sized mini-fridges on an endcap near kitchen and pet supplies for about $68 each.

honestly, if you don't mind waiting a few months - check around college dorms around move-out time in may. seriously. kids throw out soooo much functional stuff just for the sake of not wanting to put it in their car and bring it home for summer (or if they're seniors, they just don't need it anymore). i worked as a summer-dorm cleaner (i got free housing an $8.25 an hour, it was pretty sweet!) and it's astounding how much is left behind. i think i made $300 alone on textbooks that were left behind in freshmen dorms.
usually they pop up on craigslist around that time, too. i got rid of 2 that i had for $40 just because i had no use for them after i decided dorm living wasn't for me.
you might even want to check out auctions in your area too. my parents go to one every week and always hook me up with decent furniture and appliances.

I didn't say how cheap because while I don't want to spend too much I don't wanna get a piece of junk either. I was figuring somewhere between $60-120 was what to be expecting to pay for a decent one.
That one does seem promising.
