This is an excellent deal. Even with $20 shipping to the East Coast, this is the first time I've seen these BD players at this $99 price point. Definitely worth it :)

I ordered one. Transaction is complete and is ready to ship. But NFM put a hold on it. They said they do not ship out of there area. So I either get my money back or if they decide to, it might ship. I bet they will cancel the order.

Wow, I would have gotten this for my Grandparent's. My Grandpa is always bitching about how SD sattelite channels look like crap on his new 48" LCD and how Blu Ray players are too expensive. At the very least, he probably would have thrown down for a few Blu Ray movies and enjoyed the upconversion on his DVDs.

I finally got HDMI cables from Meritline.com. So I was able to open this and set it up. I did the latest firmware update. So far, so good. Not bad for the price.

The firmware update doesn't fix FOR YOUR EYES ONLY (a recurring BD problem title with many players) but it
seems like it's done well for other titles from what I gather.
I'm quite pleasantly surprised with the build quality of the unit. USB connectivity, it plays files from external hard drives, also plays PAL discs (though no region free hack yet)...overall this is a very good bargain player and a lot better made than I expected.
If you see it at $99 again, which we very well may again later this year at Walmart, I wouldn't hesitate in recommending someone pick it up.
