From the Back Cover
In the city of Townsville, the frustrated Professor Utonium is gathering all the ingredients to make a perfect little girl (sugar, spice, and everything nice). But when his lab assistant, a monkey named Jojo, causes the accidental addition of Chemical X to the mix, the Professor ends up with not one but 3 perfect, powerful little girls. It soon becomes obvious that Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup are not normal girls, they have superpowers and have not yet learned to control. The girls are treated like outcasts because they have inadvertently wrecked Townsville in a superpowered game of tag. To win the hearts of the people of Townsville, the girls are tricked into making a deal with Jojo who plans to take over Townsville. As the girls foil this threat and defeat an army of superpowered monkeys, the Powerpuff Girls learn that with great power comes great responsibility. Set includes all 78 episodes plus the holiday special and fans' favorite extras on six discs, plus a custom panoramic poster designed by series creator Craig McCracken.

I'd buy this just for the episode they made where they throw out a thousand beatle's references. It really was a creative episode. I didn't like the series overall though.

This show is really entertaining, not for much more than 30 bucks though. Also loved the movie which I picked up for about 4 bucks not too long ago.

The Powerpuff Girls, not too interested in. If they put together a complete series of Johnny Bravo or Dexter like someone else mentioned, that's where I'm dropping my cash.

Awesome, but when the hell is Cartoon Network going to start getting Dexter's Lab and Johnny Bravo on DVD?
I seriously hate the way they pick-and-choose which cartoons get DVD releases, and which don't.

10 year Anniversary?! Wow. That was so fast.
I will bite on this after the price drops but man...i still need an Are You Afraid of the Dark Box Set, Secret World of Alex Mack Box Set and Salute Your Shorts Box Set, but that is a whole different story/anger issue.
I would also pick up a Dexter set like the rest of you :P

That episode is available on "The Powerpuff Girls: Meet the Beat-Alls". Amazon has it for $10, but I've seen it in the $5/6 range.
I agree with everyone else on the Dexter and Johnny Bravo sets. I would buy them in a heartbeat.

In 2008 Nickelodeon partnered with Amazon.com to allow new and old programming to be made available on DVD through CreateSpace. As part of the deal Amazon.com is responsible for producing the discs (on one time burnable media) on-demand as well as cover and disc art.

The complete series? Wow. Can't wait for Dexter's Lab.
I actually don't want the "complete" series of Dexter's Lab.
I don't know if anyone remembers, but after Tartakovsky ended the series with the Ego Trip movie and the Last But Not Beast episode, Cartoon Network decided to make an additional two seasons without any involvement from the original creators, as well as completely new art, backgrounds, character designs, and voices. It was fucking atrocious.
So, in that respect, I'd like them to leave that part out...

I'll second that. A Rocko DVD boxset is long overdue.

Love the PPG. My wife actually got me a PPG birthday cake a few years back.
43 is not a bad price for all the content but I certainly wouldn't mind it going lower.
The movie was actually great, too bad it was only released in P&S on DVD.
I like Rocko and Dexter and Johnny Bravo, but I think the only one I'd buy is Rocko.
Still haven't picked up Duckman, that's another one I've been waiting for.

I heard that there was a 10yr Anniversary marathon of PPG on CN earlier this week-- Monday, I believe. That night at 8 or 8:30, they aired a NEW episode that was apparently a wrap-up for the series. I have not seen it yet, and don't have it recorded, but I hope to track it down somehow.
Too bad it's not on this set.
Also, I didn't know about the crappy latter-day Dexter seasons mentioned above. Ego Trip was awesome, though.

The new episode was called Powerpuff Girls Rule, so even if you recorded the others or set your DVR, it would have missed it. The shows re-aired on Monday were annoying since they were shown on the HD CN and still weren't cleaned up at all (unless they were a later computer made episode). The hand drawn ones were not clean at all.
The show runs on BOOMERANG during the evening action block.
I'll eventually watch PPG Rule and put it on DVD. I'm glad my OCD has allowed me to have complete runs of shows like Courage, PPG, Filmore, almost all of Evil Con Carne, etc. Especially now that the new CN management doesn't seem to want to air the series.

I saw the new Powerpuff Girls episode. The plot was there was a key where whoever possesses it rules the world, and it was being sent to Townsville, and the episode became a free-for-all between all the villains and the PPG trying to get the key for themselves.
It was a good episode. I guess working on Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends after PPG helped Craig McCracken stay fresh because it was a quality episode

Sorry I don't have the best grammar in the world. I don't think i've heard of a non-southern person who enjoys squidbillies though, and i've actually posted on the horrors that is known as the Adult Swim Boards (filled with numerous idiots)
That's fine, because all non-Southern people are scum. Fucking yankee garbage.
Tallahassee, FL isn't exactly the definition of a redneck town. It ain't New York, but it ain't Wakulla, either.
Have you ever seen Megas XLR? I've actually given Superjail and Squidbillies a chance (watching a full season of each) before determining that they were not funny at all.
I probably watched the first six episodes back in like 2004 or something. I hated it.
I just found it interesting that you only liked 2 of the more obscure Adult Swim shows and not any of the more well known shows.
That's because most of the Adult Swim lineup is garbage. Sorry that I don't like the same mainstream shit as everyone else. And no, I'm not trying to sound like an "alternative" $$$, because it's not exactly like Superjail is "underground" or anything, but it's not huge like ATHF and all that crap.

Wow, look what I started. Should've just let him be superior to us in every way. Has anyone watched any AS shows while they were awake? I don't stay up until like 4AM, and as such I haven't seen some of its lineup, but shows like ATHF don't make sense to me. Same applies to Family Guy etc.
edit: I wasn't implying that CE liked the adult swim lineup.

Though I admit ATHF is a bit "out there" there's enough one-liners to keep me laughing all show.
Even the movie, which isn't great for the whole thing, has about 40 mins worth of classic material

OK, so they obviously try to save some space by putting it all on DVD-18 discs. Why in god's name then did they put them in six full size dvd cases??? This screamed to be put in thinpaks like every single other show comes nowadays yet for some bizarre reason they go against the grain and use full size cases. Why does this bother me? Like every other person out there, DVD shelf space is always a premium and this PPG 10th Anniv set takes up twice as much space as it should.
Of course my other big gripe is that they still used composite transfers to make the DVDs (just like the previous PPG TV disc releases) so there is all sorts of dot-crawl and whatnot actually encoded into the video. -_- Still, having all PPG is better than no PPG, am I right?

About the only current CN/AS cartoon I like is Venture Brothers, and though I loved S1/S2, I haven't gotten into S3. Cancelled cable about four months back as well, so I probably won't get into it unless I watch it online.
I'll probably either get it from Buy.com or Bestbuy; I have a 50$ gift card for Buy.com, and a 10$ RZ cert for Best Buy.
