Dead of Knight

Here's the deal.
I'm a National City customer and had so far been pleased. Then I check my checking account today and notice a $12 "PRODUCT TRANSFER FEE." I'm like, "WTF is this" and searched their website, found absolutely nothing. So I went to the Googles and found the information on Fatwallet of all places. The bank clerk who set up my account automatically set me up for a Free Interest Checking account due to my summer internship employer having a deal with them. I was told of no fees or requirements at this time. Apparently there is a provision in this account that if I do not do "monthly automatic activity" or maintain a $1500 balance in the account, that my account is automatically downgraded to Free Non-Interest Checking and they charge me a $12 "Product Transfer Fee." Again, I was informed of none of this when I set up the account. I only keep a $1000 running balance in my checking account because I want to keep the rest in savings for the higher interest rate. [EDIT: The amusing thing is that when I opened the account, I only put $200 in checking, so WTF made the clerk think I was qualified for it? It's like she was setting me up to get the fee.] I was planning on calling these assholes tomorrow and asking them to remove the fee from my account, but I was wondering if CAGs thought I had a case or not. It's not that I really need the $12, but it's the principle of the issue and it pisses me off that I wasn't properly informed of this when I signed up.
