When will people stop whining about the 360 disc only being playable on 360. Your PS3 is a BluRay player, so most people who have PS3's don't any a stand alone blu ray player, so essentially, that disc is only playable on your PS3!

I ended up buying both LE's because I wanted both figures. That and now, I can play online with any of my buds (the ps3 only friends and 360 only friends). Truthfully though, my main push was that I'm just a Street Fighter fanatic (still haven't opened my HD Remix Press kit). February 17th can't come soon enough!

For those of you planning on canceling your pre-orders at other retailers, I would hold onto them. In almost every case, retailers have gotten more orders than the number of sticks allocated to them by MadCatz. Some retailers are canceling orders. Knowing Capcom, I'm sure they will do whatever they can to fill all the orders but they are at the mercy of the manufacturer. Also be aware that people trying to buy in bulk to make a buck in the secondary market will more than likely see their order reduced to one stick.

I agree with furashu anyone who can blow the initial investment of $150 can afford to blow the additional $20 dollars.

If they can't they should not be buying these luxury items in the first place as survival comes first.(food, water, shelter etc.)

I admit to pre-ordering a single stick at multiple places to ensure I get one, I just don't see how that stopped you from seeing the multiple posts of these being up for pre-order at various places. Or just pre-ordering at amazon or gamestop who had pre-order links up for some time before they sold out.

Honestly, I rarely come to CAG, so I didn't see the posts. When I started googling for the sticks, CAG came up so I started poking around. By that time all the pre-orders were spoken for.

I don't blame anyone for my "procrastinating." I was late to the game in hearing about these. I held off on VGC because they looked shady and now wish I had gone through with it anyway. My tough luck on both fronts. You snooze you lose.

It doesn't even bother me that people have pre-ordered from multiple places - that's their prerogative. I was annoyed that someone suggested as a solution that people interested should keep checking all the pre-order sites because everyone that has pre-ordered from multiple places will probably cancel somewhere and the site MIGHT re-post.

It's like telling me the solution is to call best buy and gamestop and target every day and say "I know all you pre-orders are taken, but has someone canceled?" except do it 5 times a day for each because these things sell out in less than 24 hours.

I don't do that crap at Christmas and I don't want to do it now. And of course on eBay they're all $250.

Hence the sarcasm in my comment about how I'll keep refreshing the page.

I have not received the backorder email and my order shows order in process but the thing that gets me is I received an email on the 9th saying Capcom was cancelling two of the 4 sticks I ordered and unlike others here on CAG I didn't receive the email explaining why. i just read the email here but why would they cancel half my order then make the rest of my order backordered? I don't see the logic in that so I would think anyone that got thier order cancelled partially should then receive the remaining order on realase date. But you never know with Capcom. On a side note I am still fighting with digital river/Capcom about a paypal refund since they cancelled half my order and I still haven't receive the refund. Same thing happened to me. I have two separate orders with Capcom (one without the 10% discount and one with) and both of them are "backordered". When I attempt to look them up, they say the order number doesn't exist. Putting my e-mail and CC worked, but only found the order with the 10% discount.

Hey everyone,

There seems to be a few fans who have received backorder notices from our Capcom Store about the SFIV Collector's Edition. To be clear, you WILL be getting your copy. This is just a little quip. We back dated the orders to attempt to get your copy on day one.

Hang in there, we're trying to get you your Collector's Edition on time, and ready for you to start throwing fireballs online!

I know, but I'm sure they realize more ppl are concerned about the TE Sticks than the CE game and yet they're updating us on the game.

my order status says "order in process" and under the fight stick tournament edition it says "boxed shipment"

is this a good thing?

Better than "cancelled" or "unsubmitted", but not really indicative of you getting a stick sent to you this month.

My order status remains unchanged, and no sign of it being charged on my card. Unless they are doing shipments in smaller batches or holding until next week, I don't think I'm getting one from the initial batch.

It's starting to look like Fightpad or HRAP Ex for me.

The stick's tracking does nothing for me right now, but my card does seem to have an enormous pending charge that I don't recall making (other than the stick)... so yeah, I guess we'll see.

I received the backorder e-mail yesterday morning around 6AM EST. Later that day I noticed that there was a pending charge for the full amount on my credit card, so I'm wondering what the hell Capcom is up to myself at this point.

Sadly I canceled a BB preorder and went with Capcom and the 10% discount (although I did keep my Amazon preorder). Not looking like I will get anything by SFIV's release at this point.

Oh, and I was looking at their cancellation policy:

"Orders placed by credit card may only be cancelled the day they were placed."

Yeah, I spoke to Darin about it last night and he in turn asked Snow to post that little update.

So the trick to try and get goods to people the day that Gamestop does, is to back date the actual ship date in the system, which unfortunately, will trigger a backorder condition (intentionally). What Darin's been working with our shop partner on is keeping that part transparent to the end user (so you don't get a backorder warning) and that's the part that's not working properly yet.

Apologies for the confusion guys, but you're all getting your orders which is the good news.

Sticks however are another story. I know for a fact we have FAR more orders than we have sticks. Mad Catz will be getting us more in the next couple weeks and we hope to have all outstanding orders met. We appreciate your patience as the situation is pretty much the same with every retailer on those items.

"Last night we received a Game Crazy memo from an anonymous source. According to the memo, the retailer is expecting pre-order shortages due to a “channel wide issue.” It goes on to explain that pads will “trickle in over the next 6 weeks to fill all preorders.” Those who don’t get their stuff on the first day will get a lovely parting gift: a SFIV wall scroll which Mad Catz has already packed in the initial shipments.

We verified the delays with several stores nationwide, but weren’t able to ascertain how “wicked cool” the wall scrolls are. Most of the Game Crazys we called have their initial shipment of controllers in, but they won’t be able to sell them before launch.

The controllers that will be experiencing the nastiest delays are the Xbox 360 Akuma Gamepad and the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 Tournament Edition Fight Sticks. Additional shipments of the products will go out on February 23, however the final shipments won’t go out until March 30. If you're a Zangief fan, that's a long time to wait."

Why does all of this have to be so secret? I'd save a whole ton of hastle if Capcom and MadKatz could be more transparent about these things instead of leaving everyone on the lurch. I guess I can hold out to see if I'm on the Feb 23rd shipment, but daaaamn this sucks. :(

Obviously, no one could've predicted the breadth and scope of this demand for the TE sticks, and I'm still not sure it's not just the usual eBay/grey market crowd trying to cash in on launch demand, but I don't think it's fair to blame MadCatz for their conservatism with the inventory numbers or with their current handling of the situation--I mean, when was the last time anything MadCatz was a sell out (sorry MM)?

They've had at least a month to communicate who is getting what in regards to the 3000 initial run. There is no excuse for not having that sorted out a long time ago. In theory every single retailer should have been able to confirm which customers were definitely going to be backordered weeks ago.

Precisely why it made sense that best buy and capcom had held out on pre-orders for so long, i thought these were definite pre-orders and they had confirmed allocations.

We don't know the logisitics of Mad Catz supply chain, so we can't make assumptions about what is and isn't "excusable". That said, it's up to each individual whether or not they want to blow a gasket over this. Me personally, it ain't worth it. :p

Is anybody else a little bothered about the price given this is no longer a 'limited' product? I know it's supposed to be a top-notch, five-star joystick (also assuming the quality issues being reported are isolated), but part of the draw was certainly the limited, collectable nature.

I got my backorder e-mail yesterday and am pissed because I got a confirmation e-mail saying everything was good way back when ordered.

Have no choice but to wait, so I'm not even going to bother picking up SFIV on release now as I hate 360 D-Pad. Once I get confirmation of the stick being shipped, I'll pick up the game that day.

Same here on the collectors bit. I just wanted the arcade stick so I could play SFIV and get as close to the real arcade experience as I could (don't think that there are any SFIV arcade units by me).
Anyways, I was able to pick up one of my TE sticks pre-order (my bud's a manager at a gaming store) and can only say, "Wow."
These sticks are great and, for those of you that are actually going to use them, not flip 'em on ebay, you'll be pleased. I played a little SF:HD (getting SFIV Tomorrow) and it was all sorts of goodness. I'll post pics in a little for you since, as the saying goes, "pics or it didn't happen."

Just get an HRAP EX and replace the buttons with sanwa. Very simple and you'll have it for SF4.

Same here too.

I play a lot of fighting games, so I want to have a AAA-quality stick that will last me the rest of this hardware generation. That is why I'm picking one up, not to deny somebody else of having one.

I personally like the design of the Torunament Stick compared to most other fighting sticks that look like a box. I haven't played many fighting games throughout the years but this will bring me back to old school goodness where I spent countless quarters on those Street Fighter II machines in the arcades. I have two pre-ordered currently and the 2nd one is going to a friend who wants one.

No word from Capcom about the SE stick shipping. Amazon hasn't updated anything either on the sticks. Deepdiscount still shows in processing for CE game. SRK server can't handle the load today...wait till tomorrow. SRK already disabled avatars and search functions for now.

Both Capcom and Bestbuy officially withdrew my payment today - not just temporarliy hold that they did weeks ago. They better ship sooner than later. I'll keep it posted.
