I think this is the best place to put it.

I haven't bought a pc game in about 4 years, but I got interested in the game 'MLB Front Office Manager' that came out this week. I bought it, installed it, and then tried to load it and it said it isn't compatible with my graphics card. My computer is only 2 years old (with decent upgrades, like a 2.8GHz Processor), so it never crossed my mind that the game might not work on my computer.

So now I have a $40 dollar disc that I can't even use. Upgrading my computer is not an option (family computer with parents who would rather buy a new computer than install a new graphics card, and it's the most advanced computer i have access to). Is there a possibility I can return it if I have the reciept and such?

Probably not. Most places don't allow the return of any opened* PC game, only exchange if even that.

If you kept all the stickers. You could try taping everything back together and maybe no will notice. Actually, this process is probably too hard for you at this point. (I.E. invisible tape) You could probably do the gamestop route but they will rape you. PC games aren't worth much, especially sport games.

Does gamestop even take in PC games? Even if they did, yea, for a PC kinda sports game they'll probably give you pennies if they take it.

It's a new sports title that just came out, so I'd assume if you do trade it in, you'll probably get half of what you actually paid.

You can try and talk your way into returning it. Depends on where you got it from though. I've seen my brother do it before, except with gaming/computer accessories. =p

Where'd you buy it? GameStop likely won't (I wouldn't buy PC games there anyway, you get weird looks - frak'em), but if it was through Steam or Amazon, maybe even Newegg, you'll probably be pleasantly surprised by their customer service.

Oh, hm. It's worth a shot. Maybe try again when someone else is working customer service if they decline.
