Alright, so i sold some copies of Tales of Symphonia that i got from gamestop.com on ebay, so they were like new and resurfaced. I've had two buyers now complain about how the discs dont work. The first customer says it dosent work at all and says Disc Cannot be read etc. The second customer it works for, but he says it freezes during every other battle. Now , i believe them, but how is this possible? The discs literally didnt have a SINGLE scratch on them. Could it be their Wii? They've sent them back to me and i've refunded them, but i want to know why this is happening, and if the discs are useless

i had this happen to me ( i mean buying resurfaced stuff and it not work properly) i got halo 3 and the load screens took soooo long and it would freeze at certain parts for no reason and if i went online with it, it would lag sooooo bad. so i dont know what to tell you, the guy i got halo from said he would switch out the copy, and then sent me back the same one, then after about a week of me complaining to him, he refunded my money. also it did not have ANY scratches at all, but still did not work right

EDIT oh also thought i would mention that my 360 is only like 3 months old and works fine with every other game i have so it was his resurfaced disc not my console.

Did you test the game prior to sending them out?

Since you say that the game was resurfaced, maybe whoever resurfaced the discs went too deep and damaged the data layer.

I bought them from gamestop.com, who im guessing resurfaced them all, because they are new/minty.

Sometimes resurfaced discs get a rounded edge and the Wii/Gamecube wont be able to read the discs. I don't know why the laser wont read the disc but this is common with Gamecube discs and the resurfacing machines that are out on the market.

Blockbuster swap.

Why screw Blockbuster. If you bought them from Gamestop then just swap them at Gamestop. I'm sure you can figure out how to do this, even after their "official" return policy has passed.
