So I bought this (http://www.focalprice.com/Tiny_Bluetooth_USB_Adapter_Dongle_Black_CB006B_412 .html) thinking cool, I can connect my bluetooth headset and listen to music wirelessly. I can connect to my PC but there's no way for the music to get to my headset. Am I missing something?

Thanks for the help.

wow that's tiny, and cheap! Can't tell what's the problem unless you give more input like OS, and network setting and so on. If this is on Vista, you can pretty much guess that is the problem.

Yeah, I thought it would be cool. Anyway, My home PC is a home built and my laptop is a Thinkpad x31. I'm not sure what you want for my network settings? Thankfully no Vista. xD

You need to pair the bluetooth headset with the dongle. I imagine there is going to be a bluetooth button in the windows control panel. I've only ever done it on vista but I imagine its about the same.

Once you have it paired to the computer you have to go into either volume control or whatever sound card utility you have and set the active audio to the bluetooth source then the sound should come out the headset.

When I first experimented with BT dongles and my pc, I found it extremely frustrating to get it to pair with my phone or to a portable printer...which once I did get it running I found it took FOREVER to transmit a single photo!

But like the other guy said, try that.

I don't have a problem pearing (so far...), but this is what I have for controls. I haven't found anything that leads to using the bluetooth headset. I have a feeling I'm gonna have to have a less inferior audio card?

Gawd, it took me a solid weekend to figure out how to sync my bluetooth stereo headset to my Vista 64bit laptop. And even to this day, connectivity is sporadic at best.

Sync the headset, and you got to make the headset the primary sound device, but even then that's not a guarantee that it's going to work. Also, I dont know the exact directions for an XP machine, so I can't really help you there :(

I checked out your dongle, and it supports BT v2.0 and A2DP, so it should support the headset on specs alone, but again, not a guarantee that you'll get the thing working at all.

Anyways, good luck.
