Apparently if you download issue 9 (February) of Qore on the PSN, you get a voucher for a downloadable Syphon Filter for PS3/PSP.
Qore is 2.99.....the game from PSN is usually 6....so that's a deal, right?
Just wanted to give people a heads up as I didn't see anything else about it here.

In my opinion, Qore is a waste of three dollars. They have videos and news about the PS3 experience but there's nothing there that you couldn't find looking on IGN or Gamespot or 1up and so on.
There often is a hidden free "game" given with the issue but they seem to be things you wouldn't play for free online.
The Syphon Filter voucher is probably the best thing they've offered so far.

Hmmm I dont like Qore, but I want to buy it just for the syphon filter voucher lol. I used to play that game along time ago but I dont have it anymore. I think the controls would feel really dated though.

Qore is not worth it and this is the first time they have released a full game with an issue. If you really enjoyed Syphon Filter back in the day then I would suggest just buying one issue, but if you haven't played it and just want to score a deal... I would suggest passing on this deal because while the game was good back in the day it hasn't aged very well since its initial release.

Although not really a deal, Calling All Cars was free to anybody that ordered an annual subscription. A great game, but of course i had already bought it when it released.

I will see if my OPM code works whenever I get it in....hope it does, if not $3 for Syphon Filter is not bad considering I could put it on my PSP

I bought Syphon Filter 1-3 when it was $3 at TRU a few years ago.
What blew my mind about this game was that when you held a gun to scientists' heads they begged for their lives.

The Qore subscription comes with a license for Calling All Cars (normally $10) and now they're throwing in Syphon Filter (normally $6).
Say what you will about the actual magazine content... That makes the price a lot easier to swallow.

I figured I'd look into signing up for the OPM to get the monthly codes and some game updates at my door, and I found that Amazon is having a sale on it for $18/year, plus $5 off making it $13/year w/free shipping. I'm not sure if there are better deals right now, but I went ahead and jumped on it.

For all of you complaining about not getting your voucher yet, remember that Sony has a bad track record of delivering with anything Qore related. One of the PS blog forumites called Customer Service, and got this in response.
“Thank you for writing us.
At this time, we currently do not have an exact time frame on when the Syphon Filter vouchers will be e-mailed to those who purchased this month’s QORE episode. Vouchers are expected to be sent out to subscribers, and those who have purchased the episode, roughly between the end date of the offer up until the end of March.”

Not a bad idea. That comes out to 216 BB Reward Zone points, or the equivalent of spending $216 at Best Buy.

That was the most fun thing to do in the game. It was my favorite weapon in the first game.
I have the first game on disc though, so I don't need this. I think I also have parts 2 and 3, which I ordered from KB Toy's website for $2-3 each as part of a bundle of clearance games a while back.

Got an email from Sony a little bit ago. It mentioned Qore and the free Syphon Filter in the subject. So, I figured this was my email with the code. I think it's just an advertisement. I searched thru it twice and found no code. I'm nervous to delete the email just in case the code is in there somewhere. :D

I hope all you guys getting this have already bought the two modern Syphoon Filter games on the PSP! Those are to this what Tomb Raider Legend (and on) are to the original Tomb Raider. Same concept, but plays 90,000x better (and looks 90,000x better too).
Except for the fact that the PSP versions require buying a PSP and anything over $50 for a handheld is a ripoff to me. If anything, I'll wait till the PS2 finally drops to either $49.99 or whatever the last price it'll be before they stop making it, buy a new one and then buy whatever games I never got a chance to finish last gen.

I loved this game back in the day...still have the disk copy on my shelf.
I stuck it in the PS2 to see how it stood up, and all I have to say is "no analog controls". 3D game with a D-pad = fail.

I haven't received my Syphon Filter code yet and I've been submitting customer service tickets for the past couple of months now and in the latest 2 responses I got from CS reps, they are telling me that it was only offered to people who signed up for annual Qore subscriptions...
What the hell do I do now? It was offered to one-time Qore: episode 9 purchasers correct? Am I misreading the posts above about people receiving the code after purchasing only 1 episode?

i got it, and i only bought the February episode. make sure that you are checking the email from the account that qore was purchased on (in my case, that wasnt my main account, so i didnt check the email all that often) when did you buy it? perhaps it was a timed deal and you had to buy it right after it came out

Don't know what to tell you, it was indeed also available for single episode purchases as I got my code way back in February. If you paid with a cc I would do a chargeback or make sure as hibachiZX said make sure you're using the email on your PSN ID when contacting them.

Thanks for the responses. I purchased it back on Feb. 20th and used funds from my wallet which I added from a PSN card purchased at a retailer.
I am emailing them from the email addy linked with my PSN account.
Quoted from a recent email:
"We apologize for any confusion concerning the Syphon Filter Voucher Code.
In order for you to qualify for a voucher code you would of have to purchase the full yearly subscription to Qore.
According to our records, you purchased only an episode of Qore therefore, you do not qualify to receive a voucher code."
So I submitted a complaint and the response I got from doing that said:
"We apologize for any inconvenience not qualifying for the voucher may cause you.
This was only offered for annual subscribers. As such, unless you did previously purchase the Qore annual subscription, you will not receive the voucher."
Obviously emailing them isn't going to get me anywhere. Perhaps I should look for a phone number so I can get a CS rep on the phone?
You should call them on the phone. I only bought the one ep and I got it.
I was the OP on the thread and I definitely knew that you only had to purchase the single episode. From the PS Blog clearly is single episode buyers and this is from playstation's web site
Qore Episode 09 arrives on February 12.
